Now it's too late and I simply continue removing them and renumbering the collection. This. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | I'm surprised at the number of people who outright delete their DVDs rather thna save thme in some other manner. If anything, as a reminder, "Did I like that movie? Did I even OWN at movie at some point?"
I never would have called that percentage for this poll. | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

... I only get rid of DVDs that I replace with Blu-rays. I give them to my brother-in-law. Once they are gone, they are gone! What do I need the old data for, I now have a new Blu-ray of that film. pdf | | | Paul Francis San Juan Capistrano, CA, USA |

| Posted: | | | | Since I wasn't using DVD Profiler from the beginning, my purchase history would be incomplete anyway, so I just don't bother and delete them. I might have done it differently if I had to start over again. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

I have traded for a few DVDs but I can't remember ever having lost any. I thought about selling them but, after being offered a quarter a piece, I decided I'd rather give them away to people who would love them like I do.
I donate a lot of DVDs to several nursing homes and veterans organizations. I keep track of those in a separate categories. I don't want to bring them things they already have.
The other movies I give away I put into a separate category because I don't want to accidentally buy them again. |

I never would have called that percentage for this poll. I keep seperate word pages of all the things I watch, often with notes like "no matter what you are thinking, never bother with this pile of crap again" or "great flick, need to pick up someday". |

| Posted: | | | | I do a lot of stuff on Swap.com, and for a long time I just deleted items from the collection when I traded them away. I finally realized I was throwing away some valuable information, so I now have a category for "traded / returned / other" where I move the titles.
Then in the notes section I put information about the specific trade involved, and what I got in return for the traded item.
When I look back, it's pretty entertaining to see how often really awful movies generated trades for something that won lots of awards. |
