Video: Full Frame 1.33:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: Mono Subtitles: None Stars:Michael Gray as Billy Batson Les Tremayne as Mentor Jackson Bostwick as Captain Marvel Kerry MacLane as Chuck Wagner Barry Miller as Mike Ty Henderson as Kyle Plot:A young man must figure out what to do when his friends insist on stealing cars and going on joy rides. Moral: It's important to do what you know is right, and not get conned into doing something dumb just because somebody calls you names. It often takes more courage to do what's right than to go along with the crowd Extras:None My Thoughts: This is a show... along with The Secrets of Isis... that I watched all the time as a kid. It is a single episode DVD that Warner Brothers released as an extra inside one of the box sets (I imagine The Secrets of Isis set) as a limited time bonus. I had always hoped the series would be released. No... it really isn't a particularly good show. It is geared towards kids... to teach them lessons.... giving them the moral of the story at the end of each episode. For some reason the moral was cut off the end on this DVD. It really isn't something a grown ups (even kids of today) would get into for any other reason the pure nostalgia if they watched the series in their childhood. In the case of this series they made Billy Batson in his upper teens instead of a younger child. Riding around in a van with an older man he called Mentor. It is a show that reminds me of my childhood... so for that reason alone I like to pop the disc in every now and then. I have had this disc since 2005... and I have watched it 3 times in the last seven years. My Rating: 3/5 | | | Pete | | | Last edited: by Addicted2DVD |

| Posted: | | | | I was looking through your list and I had some serious LOL's in there, particularly the Electra Woman & Dyna Girl. I had to look that up on youtube.... WOW I would have to put that in the realm of Starship Troopers 3. I LOVED JL:Unlimited and the tie in with Waller and Terry McGinnis The Marvel moves have been outstanding over all, and you have the biggies. I was going to comment that you didn't have the Ang Lee Hullk on your list, its bad but its a must watch to really enjoy the reboot  You have some great viewing ahead -Robert |

Extras:Feature Trailers Bonus Trailers Featurettes Closed Captioned Destroyer Episode: Music Only Track My Thoughts: Watched this disc last night. I have now seen the entire series... and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Finally got to another episode with Supergirl. And this time they mentioned the new outfit. She purposely designed it to be more like her cousin's. I really liked all the episodes on this disc. Especially the series finale. But I think my favorite episode on the last disc has to be Far from Home... even though it was very predictable as I knew what would happen with Supergirl from the beginning... I really liked the storyline. Now I am kinda sad that I don't have more episodes to watch. My Rating: 4/5 | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Wonder Woman: Pilot MovieThe world is waiting for her! The events that feed Wonder Woman to leave her uncharted homeland isle and join the fight for the forces of Good against Evil provide the adventurous springboard for the series. My Thoughts:This movie is an excellent introduction to the characters. In this movie Cloris Leechman played the Queen, Diana Prince's mother, and she did a wonderful job in the role. I can't stress enough how perfect the lovely Lynda Carter is in the role of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. She does a great job and looks just like you would expect Wonder Woman to look in real life. The scenes on Paradise Island are both entertaining and breathtaking. Not only breathtaking for the fact of all the beautiful scenery... but come on now... it is an island full of nothing but beautiful women! The whole tournament thing was also a lot of fun to watch. Then the whole show she did when Wonder Woman first got to the states. Had to love when she deflected the bullets from the machine gun. One thing I noticed about the first few episode... when Diana Prince twirls around to change to Wonder Woman... instead of just magically changing... her street clothes disappearing... they are still in her hands and she has to find a place to stash them. This is understandably changed within the first few episodes. My Rating: 5/5 Additional Screen Caps: | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | The Flash: Pilot MovieThe origin of a superhero. An accident gives police crime-lab expert Barry Allen awesome powers of speed, and he vows to use them to bring his brother's murderer to justice. But first, Allen must learn to control his sudden, remarkable talents. My Thoughts:This is a series I enjoyed since it originally aired in 1990, Wow... it just hit me that this series is already 20 years old! I used to watch this with my wife (girlfriend at the time) every week. And we were both bummed when it was canceled after the first season. This movie length pilot episode is a great origin story for our hero. I think John Wesley Shipp was a great choice for the Scarlet Speedster. And I also liked the lovely Amanda Pays as Tina McGee... the scientist that helps Barry Allen. She is the only person that knows Barry's secret. Well except for Barry's dog of course. I still laugh every time that dog freaks out because of Barry's speed. I actually laughed out loud when Barry asked his dog if he wanted to take a walk... and scared the dog goes hide in the closet... pulling the door shut with his leash. The episode ends on a good note... with Barry sitting with his nephew talking about his father and telling him that if he ever needs him he would be there in a Flash. This is a very strong and fun start to a great series. My Rating: 5/5 | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Title: Superman and the Mole MenYear: 1951 Rating: NR Length: 58 Min. Video: Full Frame 1.33:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: Mono Subtitles: English, French, Spanish Stars:George Reeves as Superman/Clark Kent Phyllis Coates as Lois Lane Jeff Corey Walter Reed J. Farrell MacDonald Plot:Superman saves four supposedly radioactive "Mole Men" who have come from their underground world to visit the town of Silsby through the town's well shaft. My Thoughts: This is a movie that was later cut to be 2 episodes of the first season of The Adventures of Superman. It is an extra feature added to the first set of the TV series. There is only 2 characters from the series involved in this movie... Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane... as it shows them arriving in a small town for a story on the world's deepest well. It is a right good movie... I enjoyed it quite a bit. Though it did take a while for the first appearance of Superman. The movie was already half over by the time Clark first showed up as Superman. Other then that the only complaint I have is the fact that Clark didn't cover up that he is Superman as well as he should have. Though the series has the same problem. You just have to suspend disbelief and go with the flow of the story. My Rating: 4/5 | | | Pete |

Plympton (Writer), Basil Dickey (Writer), Morrison Wood (Writer), Lyonel Margolies (Writer) Rating: NR Length: 258 Min. Donning a disguise, the Hornet and his brilliant Korean inventor/sidekick Kato (Key Luke) fight an infamous racket that’s menacing their city. Chapters: 1. The Tunnel of Terror 2. The Thundering Terror 3. Flying Coffins 4. Pillar of Flame 5. The Time Bomb 6. Highways of Peril 7. Bridge of Disaster 8. Dead or alive 9. The Hornet Trapped 10. Bullets and Ballots 11. Disaster Rides the Rails 12. Panic in the Zoo 13. Doom of the Underworld Extras:Scene Access My Thoughts: This is the first time I ever sat down and watched anything dealing with the Green Hornet. Going into it I was slightly familiar with the character from the '60s TV series my brothers used to watch at the time... and then it was in reruns. But I was too young for any of it to sink in. This is a very cool serial... I enjoyed every minute of it. This DVD set was given to me by a friend a while back... unfortunately this is a set of 3 burned DVDs The picture quality while definitely watchable... leaves some to be desired. There is also a light hissing in the audio. This is one I will be looking to upgrade to the studio release... as well as looking to adding the other Green Hornet serial. If there was anything I had to complain about... it would be the over-use of the Green Hornet theme music. Especially anytime he is in his car. It put me off a little. To the point that I started to consider fast forward through the car parts. But over-all I would say if you like the old movie serials... this one is a must see. My Rating: 4/5 | | | Pete |

He's mistakenly arrested for crimes committed by a false Superboy. 8: The Fixer All bets are off! Luthor's plan to rig a basketball game goes awry when Superboy officiates the game. Extras:Bonus Trailers Closed Captioned My Thoughts: This is a series I used to watch in my teen years. It is always a series I liked. Felt like watching a hand full of episodes... so decided to watch this first disc. Unfortunately only the first season was ever released... but thankfully I have recordings of the entire run of the series that I am in the process of putting to DVD. Looking at my collection at least... it don't seem like the main cast has done much. With the exception of Stacy Haiduk... I have her in several things. While I definitely still enjoy the series... it hasn't held up as much as I would have liked it to. Some of it is pretty cheesy. But it is still fun all the same. My Rating: 3.5/5 | | | Pete |

X-RAY Clark is startled to discover he has the power of X-ray vision – a power that may be useful when he confronts a challenging-like student who can take on the appearance and emotional traits of anyone. Extras:Scene Access Audio Commentary Closed Captioned My Thoughts: This evening I felt like watching some old episodes of Smallville... so decided to pull out the very first disc of the series. I enjoyed seeing some of the earlier characters that hasn't been around for years. No... I don't plan on starting to watch the entire 10 season run of this series now. This is probably the only full disc of episodes I will watch. Though I may watch the movie length episodes later. Thinking Absolute Justice and the series finale. Normally the pilot episode on a disc is my favorite. But not in this case. This time my favorite episode on the disc would have to be X-Ray... as I always liked the episode where Clark first gets a new power. My Rating: 4.5/5 | | | Pete |

FATE, HAWKMAN, STARGIRL – members of the disbanded JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA reunite to confront the threat of being iced by the notorious villain ICICLE. They'll need the help of another heroic team to succeed – a nameless group Clark Kent calls "a work in progress." My Thoughts:When this double length episode originally aired they promoted it as a "Smallville Movie Event." This is one of my favorites of the entire series run.I liked the introduction of Dr. Fate, Hawkman & Stargirl. It has a great storyline that keeps your attention even after multiple viewings. Definitely a must see if you are a Smallville fan... and hasn't gotten to season 9 yet. My Rating: 5/5 | | | Pete |
