True. I was trying to think of why that folder would be on a server, and thereby accessed as a network share. You are correct that each user would typically have its own. Sorry for my sloppy use of "share."

After closing DVDP, I moved a copy of the folder to my SSD drive.
Then I restarted DVDP. I selected File, Open Database, and the Browse option.
I browsed to the new folder and selected the database.
Then I went to Tools, Options, File Folders, and changed the location of my folders.
Everything is working fine.

As to the shared network questions, I have 3 computers running at home with different versions of Windows and other software packages and "My Documents" folder is shared.
When accessing DVDP, sometimes I would get various DBISAM errors which were related to the folder being shared on the network.
This was the main reason for moving my DVDP folders.

Now that this problem has been fixed, on to my next problem which is how to resolve thumbnail covers which don't display - I will open a new entry for that.

As is mine, but sharing a folder is completely different matter than folder redirected on network share 

Just to say that I had no problems moving the database to my D: drive with the instructions given here, so thanks for the tip!

I once tried to move my database to my NAS (a D-Link DNS-323) but I also got those DBISAM errors mentioned above. Maybe Windows is just not compatible with some network drives running Linux filesystems.
