Little suggestion, could we get a correction file?

Sure, but let us wait a bit longer, let's say 2-3 weeks.
One problem is tho, that some headshots are just deleted, how can I get those in a correction file ?

That's a good question.

Something for V8, can we try to keep crew separate from cast in the HSDB ?

I would like to keep the Cast DB as slim as I can.

I am thinking about doing a clean DB restore and load in V8

The Crew is seperated from the Cast in V8

Hence the work "Keep"

I was speaking more in the way up future updates.

Thanks for all the work.

I gave this whole project some thought,
actually I am not sure if I will continue this, it is alot or work and it seems not many persons are interested in it anymore.
53 people downloaded the files so far, of whom only 3 or 4 came here to say thank you, which I find pretty disappointing to say the least.

Yet this thread has more than 600 hits so far, which makes me wonder what the hell those people are doing in here, if they do not bother to at least say a simple thank you or to download the files.
I provided three different file hosters, so the only reason I can think of why people come in here and still do not download the files is that they are simply not capable of using a file hoster, which I find pretty sad.

But maybe I should not be suprised at all, people who are not able to say thank you are probably also too dumb or too lazy to use a file hoster.

The few ones who bother to post in here, what do you think about the future of the Headshot project ?

Only 53 people have downloaded thus far?!? Yeah, that is kind of shocking. I would have guessed hundreds at the very least already.

I honestly wouldn't blame you for thinking it's perhaps a futile effort to keep these updated. Hopefully you will continue with it, but I for one thank you for your time handling the project!

Yeh , from the participating in the V7 thread I also expected lots of more downloads.

What really keeps me wondring, why are there over 600 hits on this thread, if they do not download ?

it really can only be that they are not capable of using a file hoster.
This would be largely funny, if it weren't that sad.

I already have added over 200 new headshots to my database that I will share within the next 2 weeks or so, but the question is, if it is worth the work to continue with the Headhot Masterdatabase.
Adding new headshots I will always do, that is no problem

There are >600 hits because each user will be counted for each hit of this thread. So, I guess I produced at least 5 or 6 hits on my own on this thread.

Yes, I thank you for your work - I didn't do, because I haven't put it into my database yet. And I'm not sure I will.

Here's why:
I have my collection on the net using phpMyProfiler. That's why I'd like to have my headshots in jpg-files. It's easy to use those files on the net and inside DVD Profiler. This project on the other hand is easily used in DVD Profiler, but hard to use on the net.

So what I'd like to see, is a restarted HSDB in form of packed jpg-files.

I haven't downloaded yet, but I will. I just don't have the time at present. I'll probable do it in the next week or so. Thanks for the work, too.

thx for the thx

Well I did not know that each hit from the same user counts, good to know this

Well I will continue then I guess, as I really like the headshot stuff.

Regarding the HS database as packed jpg files, I do not have a use of that, I also have never heard anyone mentioning this, but feel free to do it

And 53 was not the correct number, sily me just counted one filehoster, about 100 people have got it so far!

cheers

As someone that spends a lot of time doing nice things for people ( I take and edit and upload HD videos from our race series ) you can not expect people to be grateful.

At our events you will have 60-100 attendance, I take 6-9 hours of footage and edit videos down for people. Not just event footage but footage just for that person.

I get very few thank yous or even donations for improved equipment. I would say the number is about 5%

Do what suits you, and when it gets old find some other sucker to do it :D
