bbbbb is correct, it was mentioned on the 23rd.
A lot of people on here don't even open or read his thread. This is a dedicated thread for everybody to see and comment on.

how about correcting your contribution for Nacho Libre First off, this isn't my thread. Secondly, no thanks. You claim those are the results from the CLT. But they aren't... they are cleaned up from the CLT. The 'true' results from the CLT are here: "Graciela Mazón" is credited in the following 16 titles (129 profiles): "Graciela Mazon" is credited in the following 14 titles (90 profiles): I submit contributions to make the database better for other people. I try and make the best submissions I can. But I'm not going to waste my time trying to clean up crap from a horrendous system. From the rules: Quote: To determine whether to enter the name directly as credited, or to use the "Credited As" field, use the Credit Lookup tool.
It is not necessary to document the source of the common name, outside the use of the CLT. If there is a dispute over whether the credit references the same person, documentation may be necessary. However, in most cases it is not required.
The inclusion of CLT results in contribution notes is strongly desired but not required. Note: In the case of uncertainty, leaving this out may cause the contribution to be declined. This one is so close it could change easily tomorrow, next week or next month. I used the CLT, it makes no mention of having to search the forum for some random thread, or anything else just to use the CLT. I did and based on those results I made my contribution. The contribution I submit has 3 yes votes and 1 no vote. If the screener decides not to approve based on your no vote, then that is that. My local is locked, so it's not going to affect me. If it gets denied, based on your vote, is it helping the database or hurting it? I'd say it's hurting it, because the profile is better with my contribution, even if that one common name may, or may not, be wrong. The common name I used, from CLT Results from the rules, is correct. Instead of sending me rude PMs why don't you just update it after it got approved? If this profile was so important to you why haven't you fixed it previously? | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |

I guess there is DVDFab Passkey, but I really don't know of much else that works similarly to the way AnyDVD HD did. And there's no guarantee that won't be shut down at some point too. | | | Corey | | | Last edited: by Katatonia |

| Posted: | | | | I'm trying to recall whether AnyDVD is needed to simply "open" the folders on a PC DVD or BD drive? (I'm not where I can test this myself at the moment).
If not, then you can always just go into the "Stream" folder and play individual video files (mp4 encoded). They won't be linked into a movie, and no menus, but you could certainly grab screen shots and run the credits section on a PC. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. I have been using AnyDVD HD so long, I have forgotten all those things that depend on it. I happen to be out of town at the moment without access to some discs for checking it out. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. You cannot even read the disc meta data without having it decrypted with AnyDVD first. My hope is that AnyDVD will still work for most of the discs for a good time and that there'll be a replacement in the future. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

It was already not working on a new release I tried a couple of days ago... when it couldn't connect to the online server. It does still seem to work with most older releases though. Does anyone here use DVDFab Passkey and can share some thoughts on it? I don't think there's really even any other software options out there currently, are there? | | | Corey |

Yeah, I have that latest version too... but for some newer releases it's just not going to always work without the capability to connect to the online server. 20th Century Fox releases and such generally always needed to connect to the server to be fully decrypted. | | | Corey |

I've heard of people who used DVDFab's Blu-ray Copy, or Passkey, for years to the utmost satisfaction. But Slysoft spread rumors that DVDFab, well, cloned decryption knowledge from Slysoft. So you should watch DVDFab decryption updates closely. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |

Yeah, I was thinking about that. But I think the BDInfo code that I cloned, did not rely on AnyDVD. Perhaps I bypassed some code that I should have used. If you still have that source I sent you, I will happily make any changes you suggest, if you decide to take a look. (or you can grab the original BDInfo source - its out there somewhere, or I can send it to you if you want it). One thing that will continue to work is DiscID, because it is Invelos proprietary and available only in plugin mode. I did not find a way to get Blu-Ray DiscID in standalone mode. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!!
