As I almost never even view crew I would prefer to remove those images if there is a way.

Only way I can think of will be time consuming - and you could push the limits of the program to the breaking point. Create a copy of your database and compact it with the option to preserve unassigned headshots disabled. Create a selective backup of only the cast & crew - restore into a new database. Create a manual profile and assign all the cast members to it. Maybe be wise to create a separate profile for each first letter of the cast - depends on the size of it which I can't see (private) Compact the database again with the option to preserve unassigned headshots disabled. Create a backup of just the cast/crew. Backup your main database but not the cast & crew, restore into a new database.
