Looking over the above list... I never seen the Neverending Stories movies before either. Is that one that I want to watch the first part before watching part 2? If so I will have to pick it up before watching this one.

Yes, I think you should watch Part 1 before 2. Part 1 will introduce you to the characters. Two different child-actors play the part of Bastian. I actually prefer Barret Oliver as Bastian in Part 1 over Jonathan Brandis in Part 2.

You can pick up "The NeverEnding Story" at Amazon for $6.49 or Both films in a 2 movie set on one disc for $5.99.

Agree w/8ballMax.  Part 1 is also far better than part 2.  (Part 3 is where the story starts to feel like it's never going to end.  )

OMG! I completely forgot about Part III...due to repressed memory I think. It was sooooooooo bad that I don't even consider it part of the "franchise". Yet another actor playing the role of Bastian, Jason James Richter, and they even got Jack Black to star in it...must not of read the script before agreeing to do it .

Region 1

Released: 12/28/2010

Anamorphic 2.35

Armageddon

Can anyone here tell me? How is the Criterion release of Armageddon? I have the original release... so this one is an upgrade.

A while back ago I managed a trade for an extra copy of a TV Show I had to get the following from a friend...

Lost: The Complete Third Season

Regions 1, 4

Released: 12/11/2007

Anamorphic 1.78

Unfortunately something beyond his control happened and he was unable to send it yet. But to make up for it he is adding the following into my package...

Lost: The Complete Fourth Season

Region 1

Released: 12/9/2008

Anamorphic 1.78

Lost: The Complete Fifth Season: The Journey Back

Region 1

Released: 12/8/2009

Anamorphic 1.78

Which means once these arrive I will only need season 6 to complete this series!    Hopefully these will be going out before too long. But if it takes a while yet... not like I don't have other stuff to watch until then!

All I can tell you is that, like the original, it is not anamorphic...which is why I never bothered with it.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I just found out that the following two will be in that big package I have coming...

Righteous Kill

Region 1

Released: 1/6/2009

Anamorphic 2.35

Scarface

Region 1

Released: 9/30/2003

Anamorphic 2.35

I am a bit ashamed to admit this... but I have never seen Scarface Though I have heard it is an excellent movie. Never even heard of Righteous Kill before today. But how bad could it be with both Robert De Nero and Al Pacino in it?

I also found out that she is trying to finish up the package today to hopefully get it in the mail tomorrow.

I've never seen Righteous Kill but the reviews weren't very positive if i recall.

Scarface, in my opinion, while it is a good film, is highly overrated. It could have used some more editing to tone done ti's overlong running time. According to most rappers it's the best movie ever made (source: MTV Cribs) but that's only because they don't seem to understand the movie.

I won't spoil it but i can't recount how often i had a discussion with some people about this movie who either must have switched it of somewhere halfway or completely misunderstood the ending,

This is a great film! Very creepy and atmospheric. I bought twice, once on DVD later bought it again on BD.

You need to stay sharp while watching it though, or you may miss something and than it could become a bit confusing!
