I don't usually buy the 1 disc edition, but this was 50% off at Barnes & Noble this week. I still have the older boxset of Brazil, which is unfortunately non-anamorphic. Both Criterion editions of Brazil seem to still be in print. Universal released Dazed and Confused on Blu-ray, and just a few months later Criterion released it on Blu-ray. Criterion also released Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas on Blu-ray first, and then Universal released their own Blu-ray a few months later. | | Posted: | | | | I could've sworn I had read something somewhere about the rights for this and Spartacus leaving Criterion when I added specs to www.dvdcompare.net but I can't find it now for the life of me. Hopefully it will be a similar situation to Dazed and Confused. Universal have the rights back from Criterion and released it themselves. Can't see this happening anytime soon. Yeah and released the inferior US cut on Blu-ray. This is why im getting my Blu-ray copy of 12 angry men from criterion before MGM claw it back. |
