Zsa Zsa Gabor would want it this way. Everybody sees things through the filter of their own eyes, Jesse. Given the way things turned out, and the sequence of events that unfolded, from this observer's viewpoint what Kyle said has the sting of truth in the broadest sense. I can't speak to the details, but that really doesn't matter any more, does it? Let bygones be bygpnes, and if you're still part of things, do your best to enhance a great program. | | | John

| Posted: | | | | Oh my God, I'm going to agree with John.
No two people see things the same way. You can have the same, exact event unfold, with many people seeing it, and no one will have the same recollections of the events.
And over time, events are remembered incorrectly in some cases.
Let's all just give this a rest, and press on. You know what they say about hindsight. |

I can only say this. If you have to live in the past and be negative, then take your little road show somewhere else and stop wasting everyone's time. We have a great program and a lot of work time. You are owed NOTHING by anyone.

| Posted: | | | | My post was basically to help clear up the many rumors which surrounded the situation. It was not intended as a jump off point to goat other ex-IVS members into posting their viewpoints. As stated in the post, part of it was from my own perspective (as I was not involved in the lawsuit or TRO).
I felt that the users deserved some sort of explanation other that "it's all over". Enjoy and support the program. I never regret going into Ken Cole's office that one afternoon, to discuss what ended up spawning into what we see today. I only wish I knew what I know now, back then.

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Skywatcher: Quote: Both him and Ken C. have stated that they'd rather prefer not to disclose their stories/points of view, and just move on. With that they show that they don't agree with Kyle's decision of publicizing his view of the events. Correction - I do not disagree with Kyle's decision to publicize his view of the events. Kyle was not a party to the lawsuit on either side, so he is in a different position from the rest of us. Jesse and the other's position is stated in the lawsuit which was published at IVS. Mine is stated in the opening announcements I made here when I launched Invelos. Kyle took his turn to put out his opinion. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | In short - the IVS founders (not including Kyle) indeed were the bad guys in the story. P.S: Kyle sounds like a cool person | | | October 12th, 1985. Tonight, a comedian died in New York. |

Man, I keep using that sentence myself. Quoting Ken Cole: Quote:

I wrongfully assumed that, as it would be totally understandable. Not in the sense of censorship or anything like that, but as everyone's desire to leave all this ordeal behind and move forward (a view I also share of course). I stand corrected. | | | With every passing hour our solar system comes forty-three thousand miles closer to globular cluster M13 in the constellation Hercules, and still there are some misfits who continue to insist that there is no such thing as progress. |

| Posted: | | | | Look, I was the most vocal in terms of being against what IVS did. But the bottom line is...Invelos is here, we have 3.0 again, and that's all we need. Jesse doesn't really owe us an explanation for what he did. | | | "I am Andrew Ryan and I am here to ask you a question: Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his own brow?

I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose… Rapture." |

Although you were both named Ross. Personally I'm happy that abrg got left at the old site. Although I frequently still see that user at places like DVDTalk sticking up for Profiler, so that makes up for some of the other comments. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. And yeah, I thought that was you at DVDTalk. Those people astound me, whining about how the free version doesn't have everything unlocked anymore. | | | "I am Andrew Ryan and I am here to ask you a question: Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his own brow?

| Posted: | | | | I've followed this thread with interest because it explains what's happened behind the scenes. There are few worthwhile posts on it (typical of most message boards) - any post that is basically telling another member to 'shut up' after he's asked a relevant question is pointless in a message board. Remaining silent is an option that most should exercise if they have nothing to add to a discussion.
Silence is of value - if Jesse had remained silent, nothing more needed to be said. Had he merely said that he didn't wish to explain his side of the story, that would at least be a response that would have ended things. Instead, he said of Kyle's story that he thought there were 'untruths' without further explanation.
If one were to allege that someone had lied and then did't back up his allegation, remaining silent, the silence tells anyone listening (in this case, the forum members) that he is not an honorable man. |
