In the US, concessions is where most of the profit is made. On popcorn, as an example, they make 90 cents on the dollar. Sodas are also a huge profit. According to the manager at the theater my son worked at, they got their Coke syrup for free, so it was all profit. I have no doubt that the same profit margins exist for all the other stuff they sell. In addition to that most, if not all, theaters here have 20 minutes of commercials before each film. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
