KM After slipping into the mid 50's for a few weeks (which had me a little worried), I've moved up and been stuck at 21 for the past 3 weeks. My number of views has been increasing about 70-90 per week, but rank-wise I've been stuck. As long as I stay above 50, I'm happy. Thanks for everyone's help on this! BTW - I enjoyed the book as much as any of the others in the series, although I thought the ending was a little abrupt. I finished reading it shortly after it's published release date, thanks to Amazon jumping the gun and releasing it about 3 weeks early (I'm not the quickest reader out there!). | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

| Posted: | | | | Thought I'd give everyone who's helped me out a "final" update. Today's the last day of the contest, and as of this morning's rankings, I'm sitting at #22 with 792 views. The contest is still running until midnight tonight, but I don't expect much movement rank-wise between now & then (I'm about 35 views behind the person in front of me and 8 views ahead of the person behind me). The cut-off to be considered a winner is 325 views as of this morning. Thanks again to everyone who's helped out! Useless stat: cumulatively, the 226 people involved have amassed almost 134,000 views of the trailer. | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

| Posted: | | | | Any word on when the book with your character will be published? I am not familiar with the author so I don't know how fast he writes.

| Posted: | | | | Good question...not quite sure. I believe the next book he's writing is Phobos, which will be part 3 of his Domain trilogy (dealing with the Mayan doomsday/2012 prophesy). He would likely start writing this next MEG book after that. He would like to time the book to coincide with the movie release of the MEG (first book in the series on which this contest was based), but he also tried that with this latest book. He got tired of waiting when New Line (I believe) sat on the script for too long. My best guess is maybe 12-15 months. | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

| Posted: | | | | So, it's been a couple of years. Did the book with your character come out yet?
edit: I think I may have answered my own question. Amazon has a book titled MEG: Origins listed as having been published in August of 2011. Was that it? Was your character prominent in any way? | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS! Dolly's not alone. You can also clone profiles. You've got questions? You've got answers? edit: I think I may have answered my own question. Amazon has a book titled MEG: Origins listed as having been published in August of 2011. Was that it? Was your character prominent in any way? It hasn't come out yet. Meg: Origins is a short, prequel novel that provides the setup for the original Meg novel. My character will be in Meg 5: Night Stalkers. The author addressed the status of the book in his monthly newsletter just last week: "I've been receiving a lot of e-mail from readers asking about the release of MEG 5: Night Stalkers. The novel hasn't been written yet, the game plan is to release the book with a MEG MOVIE. At best, that means summer 2014." The Meg movie, based on the first book, has come very close to starting production on more than one occasion, and it currently looks headed that way again with a screenplay written by the author himself. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it finally happens this time, since this movie would put all those SiFi Channel megalodon movies to shame! | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

| Posted: | | | | I finally have an update to this ancient thread. The book that I was supposed to be a character in, Meg: Nightstalkers, was released about 2 years ago. After several attempts, I was never able to get in touch with the author about my character, so I was not in it. However, I have recently been in steady communication with the author. He has confirmed that I will be in the next entry in series, titled Meg: Generations. He is currently working on finishing this novel, with an expected June publishing date. He is taking a different route with this book...he's ONLY making it available directly thru his website, and only by pre-ordering it. He wanted to make this book for his longtime fans. So, the hardback book not be available thru Amazon or any other book retailer (although a Kindle version will be available). As for a movie update, The Meg (starring Jason Statham) is due out on August 10. The first trailer for it should be released next week with Rampage, also a WB title. | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |
