| Posted: | | | | I am impressed by a collection that demonstrates an appreciation of film. The characteristics that generally impress me include:
- Films made over a range of eras; - A significant number of films made by auteur directors; - A variety of genres.
What doesn't impress me is large collections of films made since 1980. (I personally believe that the 1980s was one of the worst decades for film) |

Have to agree with these, nobody has ever stopped and actually looked through the whole collection. And when you actually start watching something with others, you only need that one DVD. | | | Last edited: by whispering |
