| Posted: | | | | thanks for creating this iPhone / iPod Touch app. Of course it's not perfect and it's not DVD Profiler, but it is a very useful and handy app for checking the movie collection. |

Do not forget that iMovie Collection is not restricted to DVDProfiler. I have to display information rather neutral. It is difficult thing to find a compromise Understand it is an application that will compile from multiple sources, what I am after is a summary screen with the something like Number of Profiles : XXXXX Last Updated DD/MM/YYYY at HH:MM A new tab perhaps? | Posted: | | | | there seem to be a lot of gaps in the database of my collection - the title is listed, but no thumbnail or synopsis information. This happened for dozens and dozens of titles. I've tried refreshing the list and importing it again several times, doesn't seem to help. Any ideas? |

Ritch You're right, it's not difficult to do. I misunderstood the request Quoting Battling Butler: Quote: there seem to be a lot of gaps in the database of my collection - the title is listed, but no thumbnail or synopsis information. It's true that some film didn't have thumbnail or synopsis information, like : * Blood+: Volume Three * Burn To Shine 3: Portland OR 06.15.05 * Electric Edwardians: The Lost Films of Mitchell & Kenyon But if you look at your collection : http://www.invelos.com/DVDCollection.aspx/Battling%20Butler These movies didn't not have thumbnail or synopsis information.. I just get information publish on the web site. I can't create information or picture |

| Posted: | | | | I purchased it earlier today and have been messing with it since, trying to get it to work.
Close to 10 attempts to pull info from my DVDProfiler database have failed - usually very early in (by the progress bar I'd estimate 5-10%?), and just getting there takes 5 minutes. The closest I've gotten was about 30 minutes trying to load the DB (maybe 35%?) which also crashed it. I've restarted the iphone but the app just refuses to start now (it crashes at loading screen). It's literally unusable and I hate to say it, but I'm going to have to request a refund on it if it continues to not work. |

I've been trying to upload it several times i even deleted and reinstalled the app to no avail. After almost 6 hours it still only uploads about 10% and refreshing doesn't go any further. Eventuallly i couln't even start the app, i just show a loading screen and than returns me to the iPhone menu. Paul |

Should I just delete the app and start fresh? Can you give some title of film without thumbnails please ? For paulb_99 and SPIDERone. First of all, verify than you have the latest version (1.0.1). Because in the first version 1.0, I left a bug and it's impossible to import collection bigger than 300. But in 1.0.1, I import a collection of 1500 movies without trouble. Import take a lot of time, for 1500 movies about 45 minutes. But you can stop import by closing application and refresh restart at the position you stop import. Pulb_99 have a collection of more than 4600 movies... I maybe do not manage well the memory. When the application start I load all the collection. But I load also all the thumbnails. It's to speed up the scroll display. But in case of collection of 1500 movies, I load about 14Mo in memory and it's work. With 4600 film, maybe you get an OutOfMemory... I have to change the thumbnails management and load only the displayed thumbnails. Good point : - Application start faster - Application can manage very big collection Bad point : - When you scroll the list you will have to wait to see the thumbnails (during loading) I will work on this path tonight. But it's a big modification. I apologize for this trouble and I will correct it as soon as possible. [Edit] I just delay the 1.1.0 version (with filter) for include this modification [/Edit] | | | Last edited: by samuel22 |

| Posted: | | | | Maybe you can load something like the current page plus x number of icons in either direction. Icons that fall out of that range is removed from memory. |

| Posted: | | | | Samuel22,
Thanks for all of your communication and work on this program. I my trouble with the app may be that unless I monitor the screen, my iPod Touch automatically shuts off during the import process. I will try a re-import with the iPod set to stay on longer (or when I can continually monitor it during importation and keep it on) this weekend. |

| Posted: | | | | Good news, It was simpler than I thought Now all images are in file because it's not a good idea to store it in database. So now I import all 4000 movies of paulb_99 collection in about 1h30. And scrolling is faster. I just submit this version to Apple, I hope they will validate fast. | | | Last edited: by samuel22 |
