| | Posted: | | | | Sorry for everybody who has lost family members near and dear.
I have had dogs (and some cats) all my life. Everyone of them were faithful companions. I have 3 now, one is rounding 12 one is about 6 and the other 3. I always tell myself, in the sadness of the moment that one dies, that I will not get another. As time passes, I come to realize that the good times and fond memories end up being more long term than the sadness of the passing and end up finding another dog to take in.
While sadness is the emotion of the moment, it will pass, then the joy of memories will take hold. Animals are special in our hearts, so don't worry, adopt another.

| | Posted: | | | | Day 2 without Daisy and the house is empty without her presence. My wife cries when she takes Sammy out as her little dukes is not there. Thank you everyone for the kind words. Esther and I truly appreciate the kind sentiments. Time will heal the pain of losing her and the puppy is demanding our attention and that helps. I am sure that we will adopt another into our heart and home at some time but for now Sammy is the only one. Thank you again everyone. |
