| Posted: | | | | I can't believe nobody has mentioned Minecraft yet. The game is still in alpha but is so much fun. I've spent way to many hours mining and building a home.
Apart from that, Football Manager 2011 is out and I just bought that. Still think the best fun was in CM01-02, but the new versions are still a bit addictive.
Also a great fan of point-and-click adventure games like the old Lucasarts games. After a few years with few releases in this genre things are looking good thanks to Telltale and perhaps also Autumn Moon (A Vampyre Story, Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island) | | | The colour of her eyes, were the colour of insanity |

Have you played the Tales of Monkey Island games? They are pretty cool. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | I still have some Playstation 2 games to finish. I'm not that good at games, but I tend to have fun with them. I do have a Wii...but really no games for it yet.
I have been playing World of Warcraft for .hmmm....2 and a half years I think it is. | | | |

Have you played the Tales of Monkey Island games? They are pretty cool. I played them all: Day of the Tentacle, both Monkey Island games, Loom (a point&click adventure where you had to remember and reverse melodies), Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom, etc. By the way, a remastered version of Monkey Island is out for PS3 (PSN downloadable) and a different remastered version for iPad ... for those that are interested in a blast from the past I used to be a heavy PC gamer when I was 5-6 years old, but I moved from that to consoles once the megadrive came out and I have been mainly a console gamer ever since, currently spending most of my gaming time on PS3 | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies | | | Last edited: by Taro |

Tales isn't as good as my favorite Monkey Island game, The Curse of Monkey Island, but still good. I also try to forget that Monkey Island 4 exists. Quoting Taro: Quote:

There's a remastered version of both Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2. The first was released last summer and the second this summer only as downloadable. I'm hoping Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle will be the next released this was (and of course Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders) | | | The colour of her eyes, were the colour of insanity |

| Posted: | | | | Just got Black Ops and will start playing it soon on my PS3. Looking to start getting trophies. I just stuck Black Ops on my Argos card Wonderful little company that operates in the British isles. Basicly with an Argos card you can buy anything under 150 pound and pay it off in 3 months in as many instalments you like at your local post office. Anything over 150 you can pay it off within 9 months at this time of year going as it's the festive period. I used to do it a lot for buying games. Stick 100 pounds of new games on the card and just pay them over 3 month's | | | Last edited: by ShinyDiscGuy |

| Posted: | | | | Personally I'm not a fan of such cards or purchasing on credit as you always end up paying more than if you had paid cash, sometimes up to 200% of what you would otherwise have paid. But to each their own of course. I'm still having a lot of fun with Uncharted 2 online and I've just got Transformers War for Cybertron. Campaign is a lot of fun and once that's done, I'm taking it online as well | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |

Campaign is a lot of fun and once that's done, I'm taking it online as well You only incur interest if u don't pay within a certain time period. I would not use it for big purchase but a couple of games as i said. And im glad your enjoying Uncharted 2. Im thinking of buying it this time so i can play it for trophies Black Ops is going to be bitch though as i have only done 2 missions and i seriously underestimated how hard veteran is compared with MW2. Pretty typical Triarch although grenade spam appears to have been eliminated the cheap ass respawning is back with avengence And the proning is worse than WAW. Your AI friendly's push you out of cover far more and you get get caught on objects a lot more as well. | | | Last edited: by ShinyDiscGuy |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry, I didn't know the card was interest-free, my bad. Uncharted 2 is pure awesome sauce! I had a blast playing single player (by the way, this is definitely a game that is platinable: I did it with 2.5 playthroughs and two online matches). However, what really suprised me is how much fun the online is: deathmatch, objective based matches or coop missions, it's all loads of fun! So much even so that I bought both expansion packs and am now busy leveling up and grabbing those trophies (although I doubt I can get all of them, as I'm not skilled enough ) I've also recently purchased Transformers: War for Cybertron, which is also all kinds of greatness. It's really fun to shoot, hit and transform on the fly and in all smoothness. I'll finish the campaigns and then take this one online as well. Call of Duty ... wow, the last one I've played was the first CoD on PC. So it's been a really long time since I've played one and I'm thinking of picking one up. My choice hasn't been made yet but I'm kinda torn between CoD MW2 and CoD BO. Most people seem to say MW2 is better and if there are still enough people online in that one, I might go for MW2 | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |

I don't mind that the gam isn't so hard, as I'm not an FPS expert anyway Even FPS experts are left baffled by how insanity of veteran mode is on COD:WAW. It's a common practice in games these days when game designers lack the imagination to make a fair challenge they go for the easier cheaper options. In the case of WAW it's an assault of infinite grenade spamming rapid enemy respawning. It becomes not a contest of skill but of luck and persistence. Mind you COD 4 was pretty stupid on veteran to. Apparently your suppose to be a member in this super elite multi national special forces squad. Yet you get it handed to you in two shots by a bunch of farmers with AK47. You have to shoot them at least 5 times and even then they still can pull a pistol out and shoot you while half dead on the ground |
