What I'm curious about is if anyone here has ever lost a star

I recall Ken saying that the reputation normalizes over time but I also recall him saying that you'll never lose stars. That said, I recall someone saying they've lost a star.

So, *shrug*

But if the reputation is normalized over time, getting five posts with 10 greens in one day counts a lot more than five posts with 10 greens spread over a month.

I lost my star once after being banned from the forum. So apparently, it can happen

After submitting the first lolcats on this forum... months before the thread... I received a star. A few years later I was called an evil word by a favorite of the management. I objected to the term I was called, received one red arrow for the objection and more than a dozen green arrows... and lost my one star. I objected to my treatment, received many green arrows and my star was restored. So I trudge along, supporting community and trying to be the guy I hope to be.

Oh, I no longer visit the contributors' forum. It's not good for my blood pressure.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

To sum up:

- post about LOLcats
- post about dog lovers
- write (optional) reason "good job" when evaluating contributions
- bash users with damaged reputation

My lolcat post now has three times the green arrows of anything I've posted over the past year.

And your country is? First time I did that will try again. Funny, won't work on my iPad but does on my PC. Difficult to focus in free fall - but I'll try.

Does that work in the US for videos in the UK?

I honestly don't know. What this plugin does (it's early beta but works just fine for me) is adding a small button that looks like a youtube play button to your menu bar.

When you activate it and browse to a video that is blocked then it re-routes the request through a proxy server in another country and that often (not always though) makes the video available:

Your choice....

Because at no time in the entire history of the internet a web page has ever shown an error message when it worked half an hour before and will work in half an hour again.
