| Posted: | | | | I ditched my home phone line - I have a cell phone, why do I need the landline?
I ditched the cable too. I got to thinking - I only watched (or want) 6 channels, but to get most of those I had to buy the 100+ channel package. So instead of the like $14 basic charge for cable it was the like $60 charge. Not worth it.
Did that years ago. Don't miss either of them. Do wish I could get my local PBS station.
I pay $40 a month for basic internet. It's a price I can live with, though I wish it was cheaper. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | When you hard wire computers and have more than one using the internet at a time, the line keeps switching and it can get a little sluggish. We only have basic, no boosts. 4 TVs, soon to be 5 computers 6 WiFi cell phones...no landline, so that's how we opted to give it a boost and it works. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |
