| Posted: | | | | I have never claimed copyright on my lolcats. Many (most) are taken from websites other than I Can Has Cheezburger, I've listed them. All sites have statements encouraging people to use them (without credit) as long as we do not steal bandwidth. I copy them, and host them myself. You obviously have no clue what Creative Commons is... And you have officially highjacked this thread, ignoring the horrendous use of a bad argument in the mentioned thread. You remain an evil troll, who continues to take offense at everything I do, with no purpose other than trolling. | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Skip This is the kind of mindless post which Skipnet always uses to up his post count. Please note that it is also how Skipnet tries to trivialize a post with which he disagrees. Instead of commenting on the very thoughtful posts by VibroCount, he attempts to turn the thread into one big joke. |

Some users are far more concerned about this suff than I am, as I am reminded on a regular basis. What is important to me is the data I maintain locally on users, quality of work is far more important to me than quantity and my local data tells me at a glance those answers.
Skip You maintain data locally on users? What kind of lunatic does such a thing? You do not work for Invelos. I never authorized you to collect and maintain data on me, and I doubt that any other user has done so. Who the hell do you think you are to do this? Am I the only one bothered by this revelation by Skipnet? What exactly is the nature of this data you have been collecting? |

Skip can collect any public data he wants, he doesnt need authorization from anyone. So can you, if you want. |

Skip can collect any public data he wants, he doesnt need authorization from anyone. So can you, if you want. That is not true. It depends very much on the nature of that data. He never stated that this was public data. Further, I find it disturbing that someone who does not work for Invelos is collecting any data on members of this site. I always get a kick out of the argument that because one can do a thing one is justified in doing it. It is nonsense, but some people just don't seem to get that. |

| Posted: | | | | For your information EPKJ, though I don't know why I waste my time on a non-productive member of the Community. The data I collect pertains to my evaluation of users Contributions (in your case a big fat ZERO, since you don't Contribute) and their voting record. The reason for doing this is reference for myself only, we have users that vote Yes on anything that pops up regardless of whether the data is valid or the Contribution conforms to the rules.
Other user, like yourself only have the ability to whine and complain and point fingers while Contributing NOTHING to this Community. So how about closing down your keyboard and actually tryinmg to do something POSIUIVE for the first time in your life. This is a big project

I think it's really sad because the future of this program is extremely dependent on new users (especially since all licenses are lifetime!). What all of us aged beef should do instead is to welcome new users, including the "freeloaders" and be happy to ask their (not always) bright questions so they feel they want to come back and contribute to the community and the database. /Mikkel | | | DVD Profiler på Dansk |

| Posted: | | | | No, mikkel it is not a joke. And, users such as EPKJ whose sole purpose in life is narrowly focused on making personal attacks, which is ALL he seems capable of doing, I have absolutely no tolerance for, he needs to rechannel his energies.

| Posted: | | | | I was going to stay out of this.... but.... I contribute - sometimes only a little COO update, sometimes a full profile - I have sent in incorrect data without knowing, and I respect that others notice these errors and correct me, I have never thought "YOU ARE WRONG" unless I verify it myself. I have even corrected myself, and apologised for it. I do not take it personally if someone disagrees with me, we are all only human and in no way, shape or form, are we perfect. If another user PM's me, and I agree, I will pull my contribution, maybe not even re-submit if need be... but I respond well to critisism (Just not to overtime requests.... if you get me ) I vote - sometimes only a quick check, sometimes a full check - I have made mistakes, and have been PM'd by several users that I voted in error (And yes, this now makes me check the subject i am voting on, more than I did) - I have read the rules, and to the best of my ability, I follow them (I don't know them off by heart) I have paid - and it didn't take long for me to do so, I wanted to support the creators of this program, so much so, I purchased a Windows Mobile PDA/Phone, JUST to run the mobile version on (Didn't need a new phone, but wanted to run the mobile version, and.. there you go) I occasionally help out new users, and try to be polite to all. So, you can say I am a "good contributor" of this program However, I also understand that there are users that wish to pay for the product, and that is all they want to do. And in there own way, they too are a "good contributor" as any money coming in allows Ken and Geri to develop the Profiler Family in ways we only hoped for. As to the free users, well, you get what you paid for, and the cost of this product is really good value. There are people on here that I keep personal information on - in my head - users I respect - and users that I trust, as well as users that I keep a wary eye on (not many) and I imagine most other users do the same. As to the arguments in these forums, I feel it is getting a little out of hand - name calling and such like is never the best way to resolve matters or, to make a point. This is "only" a DVD collection management program everybody.. I mean... come on! It isn't "really" important! I do want it to be the best that I can, I do want it to have the most accurate information possible. I also need to improve my submissions as well... And I personally like the LOLcats (And I agree, don't use other companies bandwidth - get either a free hosting place (imagebucket etc) or your own web server and pay for the bandwidth yourself) I normally try to keep my posts light hearted - because this is not REAL LIFE - real life has a habit of being tough, and nasty.... my job is stressful enough without stressing about this. However.... please.... for the love of.... umm.... DVD's..... Thank you..... Normal FunkyLA posts will now resume.... (I hope) | | | Signature? We don't need no stinking... hang on, this has been done... blast [oooh now in Widescreen] Ah... well you see.... Skip Making my first post's (in this thread) point, exactly. Misspelled and rotten grammer indicates you are upset and not bothering to think clearly. Shame, Skip. Shame. Between these attitudes and a troll I've had runs in with recently... I'm beginning to wonder why I bother reading this garbage. I think I'll leave for a while, giving free range to the moronic self-centered behavior which has overwhelmed the reasonably-mannered decency this forum once had. | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Skip Well, you just proved that you are an elitist. I don't have to contribute anything to this site. I am a customer! I owe this site nothing! I owe you even less! |
