My first thought was that this is probably only a computer monitor, to show off The Profiler.

Here's into what I have managed to squeeze my collection after selling / trading off almost 1,000 DVDs during past two years. Everything fits in these Ikea's Billy shelves, although I may soon have to get one more unit...

1. and 5. units (end units with glass doors) are reserved for special editions, custom packages, TV-series, boxsets etc... Three units between them (2. - 4.) hold mainly regular keep case DVDs, but top two rows are dedicated to boxsets, special collections (like Fox Film Noir close to the camera on second row from top), some digipaks and TV-series.

Third row is all blu-rays as is the fourth row in the 2. unit.

Still have wall space for at least one wide and one narrow unit to the left of the picture.

Whoa, must have taken a lot of thought. What goes and what doesnt.

I have a lot of DVD's in my collection that i wouldn't mind getting rid off. But the money for used DVD's is pretty low. Doesn't pay for the trouble, at least in the case of second hand stores.

Actually that "during past two years" is mainly in 2009. I haven't sold (or bought) many DVDs this year (buying almost only blu-rays nowadays). Last year I sold a few very big lots and then also took some to the second hand stores as trades.

Most of the DVDs I sold where blind buys that I didn't consider important enough to keep after watching them, and many were those that I had bought as blu-ray or planned on doing so in near future.

You're right, the prices for second hand DVDs are really low. But my logic was "am I likely going to watch this movie ever again, or has it any other value for me to keep it (such as some certain actors or actresses, some specific interest as far as topic or filming location etc. goes...). If not, I can happily let it go even in low price. Two euros is still two euros, and it makes room in the shelves

Perhaps a bit big, but still Ok.

Could you put post a photo with the whole collection? It looks very big, but it is hard to imagine with the detailed photos.

One photo for the whole collection isn't possible, sadly, it is in two rooms and all around on all walls
