| Posted: | | | | I was adding headshots to the cast of "The Last King of Scotland" and came upon this site: http://www.aveleyman.com/Here's their mission statement: This is "our attempt to honor many personalities in the movie business, both famous and not so famous. Our ambition is to get one screengrab and a filmography for, well, everyone." I realize a screebgrab is not ideal for many actors, but I got a whole whack of rare actor pictures from that site for "The Last King of Scotland" which I otherwise wouldn't have been able to get. Personen.dpb Just curios ... I clicked on the link above and when I got to the site I could see the file but it was not active. Do you have to do something special to get this? Mark For me it still works. I have no idea what your problem is. Try it again and close the add. |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks Kemper ... I saw that but thought that was for the download accelerator it was next to.
Update: I went back and did what you said and it is downloading as I am writing this. Just a tad confusing to me how that worked. Even after I did what you said I was taken to another page and had to click a download button that did not make any sense either. It was right below what appeared to be a download for the GigaSize site. I clicked it anyways and WALLA!
Thank you again for the help. | | | Antec Nine Hundred case, 4GB A-Data DDR2 800 RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz, ASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP MB, XFX GeForce 8600GT XXX 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 video card, ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink, Seagate Barracuda 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s HDD, Zerodba 620W PSU, LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD with LightScribe SATA, Samsung CDDVDW SH-S203B SATA, Hanns-G HH281 28" monitor, Kodak ESP3250 printer, Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers, Windows 7 Professional | | | Last edited: by mwkirchner |

Personen.dpb Just wanted to stop back and say THANK YOU for doing this. I did a restore using the "Let me pick the image" mode and got to look at the pics rather then just overwriting all of them (which turned out to be a good thing or I would have ended up with two topless pics in there ... not that I would mind ... but was nice to know that I could choose which I wanted). You had some REALLY good upgrades in there. Thank you again for taking the time to do these and making them available to others to enjoy. Here's their mission statement:
This is "our attempt to honor many personalities in the movie business, both famous and not so famous. Our ambition is to get one screengrab and a filmography for, well, everyone." So, I've been going through my collection from the top, adding headshots from Aveleyman.com for everyone I could find (that didn't already have a headshot). There's a fair amount of non-aveleyman.com headshots in there as well, but I'd say about 90% of the new headshots are from aveleyman.com. I just finished the A's (57 movies) and a backup of my headshot database now sits at 172mb (compared to 107mb for the master, 75mb for Surfeur's, and 125mb for Armand's) so there should be a fair amount of new stuff there if anyone wants it. A couple of other comments: - While I have no added any Adult-type pictures, there may very well be some in there from previous people's database work. - There's mostly less famous character actors or people credited with "Man on Sidewalk" type pictures, so if that's not your bag I wouldn't bother downloading this update. - The VAST majority of new headshots are for actors who previously didn't have one. I'd estimate that about 10-15 of the headshots are improvements on existing pictures, while the rest is new. Anyway, if you want it here it is: http://www.molen.ca/headshots_Jan13.dpbWhenever I finish the B's I'll post the next backup. KM | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS! Just to clarify this - you get to choose pictures only when you already have a picture in your existing database for that person. This means that there could be a a few nudes in your database now but you may not have seen them coming in. When I restored this file I think I saw more than a couple of topless pictures.. | | | Paul |

KM Thank you. The next version of my update need some weeks more. We are just two guys. In December I hope, that there are more people who help with a new master db, but we find no one other. One of us, make the asian cast, actually I make the TV-Show Cast... With you we have a person more Edit: @Astrakan In your DB are still the persons without headshot. It is better, you clear this person before upload the DB. 1. Export Person DB with headless people 2. Import Person DB in empty DB 3. Start the Repair Tool 4. Export Headshot Person DB 5. Upload After that the persons without headshots are gone, the file is a little bit smaller, and the chance to get actors with wrong birth year is minimized. PS: You have still 43660 cast persons without a headshot in your DB, but in my normal DB it is not better. There is still much to do for us. | | | Last edited: by Armand |

Quote: PS: You have still 43660 cast persons without a headshot in your DB, but in my normal DB it is not better. Yeah... I probably only added about 250 people or so. It's slow going, but we'll get there. Once I've gone through all my movies at aveleyman.com I'm going to start going through the entire cast database at the same website. Once that's done... I'll start over at the A's and simply use Google I guess. KM | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS! Dolly's not alone. You can also clone profiles. You've got questions?
