You know Hillary Clinton?
Unfortunately, I do. And her huusband. I've known every occupant of the WH since 1986, including the current First Family. I've said before richie, that inmy current life, politics IS my life, I know lots of the denizens of the US Capital.

| Posted: | | | | Well, you've got to start setting your priorities right somewhere, now don't you? Back to topic, here's my results: Hillary Clinton (D) John Edwards (D) Barack Obama (D) Rudy Giuliani (R) Mike Huckabee (R) John McCain (R) Fred Thompson (R) Mitt Romney (R) In my case, Clinton and Edwards have actually the same bar length, but I'd prefer Clinton because the expertise on the White House and political experience she has. Curiously I noticed that almost all non-US participants in this thread lean towards the Democrat candidates, which is a repetition of the polls taken around the world before the last election, that saw Kerry way preferred over Bush around the world. And judging from the questions asked in the test, it's not really that much about socialism in the classical sense that's being checked upon. There's a lot of subjects in there that are kind of unique to the US (Iran, Iraq, Guantanamo) or apply to a lot of countries around the world (greenhouse, stem cells, abortion, gay marriages), regardless of the political system at work. | | | Lutz | | | Last edited: by Darxon |

The best word that comes to mind to describe him is "sleazy," but again, I can't explain it... It's probably because John Edwards is a personal injury/product liability lawyer who made a fortune arguing cases often based on questionable science. Really? I didn't know that, but it does explain why he seems to not actually believe the words that are coming out of his mouth... | | | The future is here. It's just not widely distributed yet. I thought not.. Skip is George Bush. So, who is writing his forum postings? Bush is unable to construct a complete sentence that actually makes sense - Skip has no problems with that... | | | The future is here. It's just not widely distributed yet. (William Gibson) |

| Posted: | | | | However, test result always depend on how questions are phrased. Let's go figure out how the same person might answer differently according to phrasing... "Would you like free health care for everybody?" Yes! "Are you willing to pay much more taxes to be spent on free health care for everybody?" No! "Do you want more nuclear plants?" No! "Are you willing to not have more nuclear plants and pay more for energy?" No! "Would you attack Iran?" Nooo! "Would you attack Iran if they built their own nukes and were going to use them against you or your allies?" Dunno... | | | -- Enry | | | Last edited: by White Pongo, Jr. |

I think the Socialism you say has "been proven not to be viable system", is what we fought against in our wars. I dont think our system has yet to be proven to not be a viable system. Where I differ with Skip on this is that while I am convinced that Communism has failed everywhere it's been tried (maybe because the leaders don't live the way they expect their subjects to live, so that "true" communism has never been tried) -- I don't think the same can be said for Socialism. It seems to me to be a viable system, though an extremely expensive one tax- and liberty- wise. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges.
