Another TV (mini-)series that I thought was Australian seems mostly to have been filmed in California; The Thorn Birds. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 | | | Last edited: by Nexus the Sixth |

Really funny stuff (glad I wasn't drinking coffee when watching those). How would I found that on DVD? Here are some Australian DVD sites. If you search for Micallef, you should find some of his stuff. Sorry, but I don't know which of his shows (he has had about three, and he also worked on Fast Forward/Full Frontal), but my guess would be The Micallef Program (with different spelling each season). Ezy DVDAtlantic DVDJB Hi-FiSanityChaosVidz of OzAtlantic and JB tend to have good prices in my experience, but shop around. You can always try eBay too. Some New Zealand sites probably have them too. I assume "my guess" means, that that is the one I should be going for. I found a complete set with all three seasons, which appears to be a better deal than buying the seasons separately. I am gonna trust the the two videos and your comment "unfortunate foreigners" and order that one... Thanks a lot. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. | Posted: | | | | I want a release of Charles Chauvels' seminal classic, 40,000 Horsemen, which was based on the Australian Light Horses' exploits in the Middle East (including the battle for Beersheba; the last great cavalry charge) in The Great War. Charles Chauvel father, General Harry Chauvel served with the Light Horse in The Great War. He also went on to make The Rats of Tobruk, another great film. | | | In the end; Winning is the only safety. Kerr Avon Blakes 7 Series 4, Ep. Blake. |

| Posted: | | | | Now that the day (Australia Day) has arrived, I not only have forgotten a few times, but I'm also a little nonplussed. I think part of it is that I'm still in Friday mode, part that the gf is working tomorrow, and part that the day I get off work isn't today (though I don't work weekends). Perhaps I'll wake up feeling differently (and chuck on Frogstomp). | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |

It's Cricket weather and the test match is on so I'm outta here to watch it! | | | In the end; Winning is the only safety. Kerr Avon Blakes 7 Series 4, Ep. Blake. |
