As I see it, Palin is the downfall for the Republicans, not Joe Biden for the Democrats .. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | LOL, Terry, you mean Joe the Biden...the gift that keeps on giving. I will say that if I have to have "inexperience" on a ticket, I would prefer to have it in the Number 2 slot than in the Niumber ONE slot. Obama has NO qualifications to be POTUS beyond the ones which are Constitutionally mandated. As for your veiled slap at the age of John McCain, yes he is 72 years old, could have duplicated what he did yesterday, what was it rallies in SEVEN different states and 4000 miles within 24 hours, certainly not something I think I could accomplish. Amen!
Yeah right - cause America is well known to let "other countries" sort out their own problems. Please!
Can anyone say "World Police"?!
Pray tell, when was the last time the U.S. involved itself in the affairs of Norway? What on earth does that have to do with anything?! The fact remains that America has been acting like a world police, ever since they "decided" to get involved in WWII - and you took your sweet time deciding to get involved there, didn't you? (No oil to be gained at the time, so why bother?) Took a direct attack from Japan to even get you interested in the conflict! If you ask me - England won that war for the Allies - NOT USA! I am not impressed at any rate - and that you haven't invaded Norway yet (we have lots of oil you know ), shouldn't make me less qualified to voice my opinion.... | | | Berak

| Posted: | | | | @ Berak For the most part your statement is correct, but don't forget there were some Americans who volunteered and served with distinction in the RAF and the RCAF even when it was discouraged and illegal by American laws at the time. My Father for instance lied about his age and enlisted in the RCAF in 1939, and flew in the Battle of Britain and Europe, receiving among other awards The Victoria Cross. Rory (P.S. Your father served both your country and the world a great service in his actions, and for that I salute him. However, for your fellow American's, hiding behind their great "rescue operation" when the war had already raged for so long without official US interference, I give no credit whatsoever. Quote: what the facts from History aren't correct on this? ( ballot situation that arose out of brother Jeb's Home state?? ) I guess All the Presidents Men ( out of Hollywood isn't correct either?? ) .. So Hollywood is a good source of accurate information? I don't think so. JFK and most other films by Oliver Stone, All the President's Men, etc. are hardly true accounts of history.
I guess we should believe that John Wayne's version of The Alamo or his vision of the Vietnam War in The Green Berets were accurate portrayals of history.
Or should we only believe left-leaning filmmakers, since they clearly have a monopoly on the truth?
ooh oh another red.,, Well if that is the case, and it may be ... Don't trust Youtube either.. it can be edited..
you know it has been fun this past week to see the McCain camp just absolutley freaked out about Obama's democrats coming in to do 'Change' .., Yup there will be change allright.. and there is gonna be a lot of 'sore losers' out there.. Please just try to remember to keep your firearms at home under lock and key .. I won't say that i will give a President obama a heart welcome, I will watch him and his administration extraordinarily closely along with the next Congress. I would love to have him prove me wrong...but i wouldn't lay money that he will do it. I know what the democrat Congress has in mind for an agenda and i suspect I know what a President Obama will do, and i stand ready to act as I deem it necessary or not. I am not by nature a violent person, so I will exhaust any and all political means at my disposal FIRST. But if Obama turns out to be what I suspect, he is going to his hands very full and i won't be the only one.
Skip I can field a full platoon if necessary with just a few phone calls, if things get to that point. You're welcome to join us. | | | John

Are you buying into all that BS perpetrated by the media? Joe Biden is an idiot! He can't be trusted to keep his mouth shut without sticking his foot in it up to the knee. Sarah Palin is a rising star in the GOP and is going to be around for a long time. You can take that to the bank. | | | John

Rule Britannia!! Oh, give me a break! Just who the hell do you think kept the Brits going from 1939 to 1941? How many thousands of tons of US merchant shipping and American merchant crewmen went to the bottom running convoy duty across the North Atlantic keeping Britain from going under? Who pulled Navy destroyers that were critically needed in the Pacific to provide the Brits with the means to take on the German wolf packs? The US provided millions of tons of food, munitions, tanks, trucks, ships, and planes to Britain when their backs were against the wall. All while we were staring down the barrel of the Japanese Empire's big guns. Lest anyone accuse me of anything, I have no axe to grind with the Brits. I'm glad we were able to help them out, but let's not forget the facts here. | | | John
