| Posted: | | | | Well, I have my first triple-dip. Sigh. Picked up Watchmen on blu last Friday. So now I have the theatrical DVD, the director's cut DVD, and the blu.
It'll likely be my quad-dip as well, what with the ultimate edition coming out later this year... | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | Princess Bride (inconceivable...) I gave away the first issued DVD when I bought the Special Edition (which I still have). And I still have both the Buttercup Edition and the Dread Pirate Edition (which are identical except for the cover art). And I own the Blu-ray.
So four copies after I gave my son one.
And two copies of Nightmare Alley and Blast of Silence. And maybe a couple more. Plus all the DVD copies of double-dipped Blu-rays, so I can watch them on my laptop (not a BD playing one like my daughter's) when I travel. | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

| Posted: | | | | LoL. I only have 2 copies of the Princess Bride! 3 if you include VHS. *grins* I managed to restrain myself from the Dread Pirate editon/Buttercup edition, but when they had that reversible cover...well, I couldn't resist.
My dilemma right now, is to order Wizard of Oz 70th anniversary ultimate edition or not...I have a good version right now, but I really want the John Ritter movie as well. Not really interested in the extra stuff...have little space to store it in and watch just isn't that exciting to me, but the extra movie might put me over.
*sigh* To dip or not to dip...that is the question! | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | One of biggest multiple-dips is John Woo's "The Killer."
1st Copy: A bootleg VHS from a Sci-Fi Convention (which was cloned from the HK laserdisc) 2nd Copy: P&S Dubbed VHS (didn't notice it was dubbed, and cut, until I watched it) 3rd Copy: P&S Subtitled VHS 4th Copy: Widescreen VHS 5th Copy: Criterion DVD 6th Copy: Winstar DVD (which had a new commentary by John Woo, different from the Criterion) 7th Copy: Hong Kong Legends DVD (new extras and a commentary by Bey Logan)
And I'll be buying it again in the upcoming months, as Dragon Dynasty will be releasing a special edition (which was delayed from last year). I'm sure I'll end up with a Blu-ray version one day as well, if it ever makes it... |

| Posted: | | | | I'm not even counting double-dips, they are too frequent. I generally don't hold on to my old copies though, unless they offer some unique content, which means I hardly ever have more than 2 or maybe 3 copies at the same time, although I might have bought up to 6 different editions in total if counting since VHS. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |
