Then there's stuff like Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, Funky Squad and Harsh Realm, which although not officially "mini series" have only 6, 7 & 9 episodes respectively. Ironically, some shows that are eligible have much shorter total runtimes than these (5min episodes).
I was thinking about choosing Garth Marenghi's Darkplace as well but the limit throws it out, it is so funny. B. |

B. Perhaps give Funky Squad a look. Like Garth Marenghi's Darkplace it's a parody (this time of trendy "cop" shows), done to look like footage from the era (in this case 1970s), shoddy acting, and actors playing actors playing the characters. As a bonus it has some real 1970s ad breaks inserted into the show! You wouldn't talk much either if you'd copped a bullet to the tongue Quoting Ralliart: Quote: 09. = V OMG! I forgot V. I'm not sure it would have quite made my list, but I recall it being a great show. I'll have to revisit it soon. | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) | | | Last edited: by W0m6at |

| Posted: | | | | Really tough one as I watch more TV (especially 'classic' TV) on DVD than I do movies - so from a shortlist of my very, very favourites (about 40!) I have decided on:
1. Doctor Who 2. Black Adder 3. Spooks (called MI5 in USA and some other localities) 4. Buffy the Vampire Slayer 5. Public Eye 6. CSI 7. Men Behaving Badly 8. Red Dwarf 9. Babylon 5 10. Miami Vice
Surprised I haven't seen Doctor Who on more (any other?) lists so far, as a series that had an original run of 699 episodes in 159 stories over 26 years with an additional 57 odd since 2005 and is presently the top rated series on UK TV!
Dropping stuff off the list like Drop the Dead donkey, Dad's Army, Hustle, Johnathan Creek, The Professionals, Rumpole of the Bailey, Sandbaggers, Porridge, The Wire, The Shield, Fawlty Towers, ER, The Avengers, Frasier and so many more is breaking my heart! | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong | | | Last edited: by Voltaire53 |
