My Thoughts: What with season 2 starting this Sunday night I decided to watch all the episodes of Season 1 today. This is a very good zombie series. It holds up well for multiple viewings. Sure there is some episodes better then others... but I really enjoyed re-watching this entire series. Watching this set today made it so I can't wait for the season 2 premier. For a show that airs on basic cable... this series does not shy away from the blood, guts & violence... to the point of surprising me a bit on how far they went. Not a complaint mind you... but a pleasant surprise. If you haven't had the opportunity to see this Zombie Series... it is one that I highly recommend! I also enjoyed the first season of this series...I own it on Blu-ray. I just hope that the second season doesn't suffer from the series creator's decision to replace the entire writing staff from season one . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Addicted2DVD: Quote: I never heard about that! I sure hope not! Well, I guess it depends on who you believe. Most of the online reports I'd read said that the staff was fired but Wiki's article states this: Writing On July 17, 2010, Darabont revealed who would be writing and directing the six episodes of the first season. Darabont wrote/co-wrote the first three episodes and directed the premiere episode. Michelle MacLaren directed the second episode. Executive producer Charles H. Eglee and co-executive producer Jack LoGiudice co-wrote the third episode with Darabont, with the installment directed by Gwyneth Horder-Payton. The fourth episode was written by executive producer Robert Kirkman, the creator and writer of the comic book, and it was directed by Johan Renck. The fifth episode was written by Glen Mazzara and directed by Ernest Dickerson. The sixth episode was written by consulting producer Adam Fierro and directed by Guy Ferland.[19] On December 1, 2010, Deadline.com reported that Darabont had fired his writing staff, including executive producer Charles "Chic" Eglee, and plans to use freelance writers for the second season.[20] Kirkman called the announcement "premature" and clarified that Eglee left to pursue other projects when Darabont decided to stay on as showrunner and that no definitive plans had been made regarding the writing staff for season two.[21] [Eglee] was brought onto The Walking Dead with the idea that Frank was going to work on the first season and then go off and do movies. Chic didn't want to be second-in-command on a show when he's used to being a top dog, and so he decided to go off and do something else, which is something that happens and is not a big deal. On December 3, 2010, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Gale Anne Hurd commented that "It's completely inaccurate. [In] the writers' room, there are people that have set up other projects that will be their first priority if their own series is picked up as a pilot or if it's a series. I think [Eglee] just decided that he wants to run his own show." She revealed that it is likely the show will return in October 2011, as Darabont and Kirkman plan on mapping out the next season early in 2011. She also confirmed that "every one of the principal cast is signed up for multiple seasons."[22] In July 2011, series developer and showrunner Frank Darabont stepped down from his position as showrunner for the series.[23] It was believed that he was unable to adjust to the schedule of running a television series,[23] however, The Hollywood Reporter reported he had been fired.[24] Executive producer Glen Mazzara will be the series' new showrunner.[25] | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for letting me play! Tonight I watched: Addams Family3/5 I couldn't tell you the last time I watched this...before I started keeping track in Profiler, for sure, and while I did enjoy it, I had forgotten how slow it was to start. But, it had some laughs and I enjoyed the quirkiness of the Addams. I think they put together a good cast, especially Raul Julia. Simpsons Treehouse of TerrorSeasons 4 and 10. I'd rate both a solid 4/5. Randomly chose a few seasons to watch the Halloween episodes and these were the first two I popped in. Season 4 has the Simpsons hosting a party and telling scary tales whereas season 10 is broken into segments with a scary theme. My two favorite segments from these two would probably the Zombie one where Bart and Lisa are trying to raise Snowball I from the dead and instead raise everyone from the dead and where Bart gets a clown for his birthday that has an "evil" setting. | | | Lori |

Video: Full Frame 1.33:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 2-Channel Stereo Subtitles: None Stars:Leighton Meester Kailin See Lisa Marie Caruk Agam Darshi Meghan Ory Adrian Roman Petriw Plot:Samantha Willows (Leighton Meester) is a bright-eyed college freshman ready to endure the often humiliating traditions of pledge week if it means being accepted into Delta Phi Theta, one of the most prestigious sororities in the country. But her enthusiasm turns to dread when she begins to sense something sinister about the sorority house and some of its sisters, who appear to be sharing a closely guarded secret. After the death of a Delta Phi Theta member, Samantha considers the unimaginable– could an evil, murderous force reside within the walls of the sorority house? Extras:Scene Access Closed Captioned My Thoughts: This is a movie my brother rented from Netflix... and sounded like something I would enjoy so decided to check out. It seems this one is a TV Movie that originally aired on Lifetime. But going into this one that didn't worry me one bit since one of my favorite TV Movies originally aired on Lifetime as well ( Still Small Voices). I enjoyed this one. Even if it was pretty predictable. I had the whole who the ghost was figured out early in the movie. The storyline itself is entertaining... and there is some decent effects in it, especially considering that this is a TV movie. Thought the DVD itself leaves quite a bit to be desired. No extras what so ever on this one. Only options the main menu has here is Play Movie or Scene Selection. But over all... I liked it. I can see myself picking up a copy if I could get it cheap. I think it would be a good addition to my TV Movie collection. My Rating: 3.5/5 Count: Movie Count: 18 TV Ep. Count: 42 Other Count: 1 | | | Pete |

Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.78:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 2-Channel Stereo Subtitles: None Stars:Andrew Divoff Erin Brown Ryan Hooks Sean Serino Rachel Scheer Anthony Clark Plot:From Director Robert Kurtzman (Wishmaster, Buried Alive), comes the highly anticipated new splatter classic. When victims injected with the rage virus escape the experimentation of a mad scientist—his secrets are uncovered and all hell breaks loose. The Rage is guaranteed to be an out-RAGE-ously gory good time! Extras:Scene Access Closed Captioned My Thoughts: After talking about Erin Brown (Misty Mundae) earlier today I thought I would go ahead and watch this movie I have with her in it. It is one I never seen before. It is one I have mixed feelings about. There is some stuff here I liked as well as some stuff I didn't. There is lots of blood and gore in this one. And the movie keeps a rather fast pace. The acting could use some work. I personally thought the infected vultures was a bit much... and would have liked to seen the way it spread in that portion of the movie done differently. But over-all it is a fairly entertaining film. The movie is in a triple feature set (2 discs). Considering I paid $3 and change for the entire set I feel I got my money worth... though I hope the other two movies in the set are a bit better then this one. This one I have seen before. I basically have mixed feelings about. Parts of it I enjoyed.... other parts not so much. I think one thing I didn't like was the design of the bug. Though I do understand it must be difficult to design a bug that looks like nothing you ever seen before... and it being the size they needed it to be. There is some things that they play for comedic value... others for shock value. Of all I enjoyed it... though I wouldn't say it is my favorite episode of Masters of Horror. | Posted: | | | | I always been funny about such things (top 10-20 lists)... they always change with the mood I am in. So is something that could change from day to day. Because of that I always stayed away from making such lists. But I will have to go through my collection to see... I have almost 1,000 horror movies in my collection alone. Many which I never seen yet. | | | Pete |

If you remember right... towards the end of the season 1 finale the scientist whispers something in Rick's ear. Well the very first thing in this episode you get teased with what that is... but they still don't tell us! I want to know what the big secret is! Oh... and the way this one ended! The very first episode of the season and we get a cliffhanger! I so can't wait till next week now! My Rating: 5/5 Count:Movie Count: 19 TV Ep. Count: 45 Other Count: 1 | | | Pete |
