| Posted: | | | | Every here seems to be using Mediafire to upload the headshots, so I thought it might be worthwhile to point out that Norton Internet Security often gives me a warning that Mediafire tries to install a malicious tookit: Should we be worried about this? Donnie Same here (i.e. AntiVir Premium), and it has a WebGuard, too. What does it say underneath the table? ("Network traffic from www.mediafire.com matches ..."). The JAVAW.EXE is the main Java runtime executable on windows, so per se nothing suspicious. IIRC Mediafire uses Java only for uploads – if at all. Does the warning popup on every request to mediafire.com or just with some files you want to download? You could also try to submit the URL to VirusTotal.com. It'll be analyzed by six different "safe browsing" services (Firefox, G-Data, Google Safebrowsing, Opera, ParetoLogic, Phishtank). | | | 1.0.1, iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.1.0

The warning pops up every single time I try to download a file, any file, from Mediafire. According to Norton Internet Securtiy, the Javescript it launches resembles a malicious toolkit too closely, which is why it blocks it. Could be nothing and just a coincidence, but better be safe than sorry, so I'll submit the link to the site you suggest. | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |

| Posted: | | | | If VirusTotal doesn't show a warning (which obviously doesn't guarantee that it's a 100% clean site/file), you might want to inform Norton, so that they can check the site manually and adjust their detection routines, if nothing suspicious is found. | | | 1.0.1, iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.1.0

| Posted: | | | | Just gave it a go and the results are ... inconclusive: URL analysis tool / Result Firefox / Clean site G-Data / Clean site Google Safebrowsing / Clean site Opera / Clean site ParetoLogic / Malware site Phishtank / Clean site 1 out of 6 reported it's a malware site, which is also what Norton states. Even though it's a minority, it still leaves me a bit with an uneasy feeling regarding using that site, especially since I don't get such warnings from other free uploading sites, some of which also use java. It could be just a coincidence that part of their code resembles a malware kit, but still ... | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |

| Posted: | | | | Chances are that ParetoLogic/Norton is wrong. But I understand your concern, I'd feel the same, if my virus scanner warned me about that. Again, report the issue to Norton so that the suspicious code can be further inspected and, as the case may be, the false positive can be avoided. | | | 1.0.1, iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.1.0

Sorry for posting here but I was not yet approved for the phpdvdprofiler web forum, going on 1.5 weeks. It's possible but unfortunately it's not automated. There's a headshot folder (or something similar) per default in phpDVDP once you installed it on your website. In there, you'll need to manually add each seperate picture in .jpg format and rename it to match the actor/crew member's name. That's a lot of work and I plan on doing it some day, but only for the most famous ones, as otherwise I'll be busy with that for the next 20 years | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |
