Thanks Sébastien. Both the images and videos have been removed due to copyright Olympic regulations,, which makes me ask.. Will they ever be released or viewable? Is it just for the duration of the two weeks that all images and videos are not to be viewed? Even my poor TV sportscasts at 6:45 every evening can only talk about the events and can't show any high lites.. Will the curtain be raised to see the wizard?? | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

| Posted: | | | | Just saw Pieter van den Hoogenband's farewell interview on Dutch TV. Only guy ever to be in the top 5 in four successive Olympics on the 100 meters freestroke (and gold medalist in Sydney and Athens). I take a deep bow for him. |

The portuguese commenters on EuroSport were going berserk during the final. They left the "medal-seekers" for last, so, the last 4/5 athletes were the best and were just flawless on the ground gymnastics. They've been commenting gymnastics for several years now (at least I remember those 2 guys every olympics ) and their opinion was that it was "the best feminine final ever! Or, at least, the best from the last... many years". I liked it. | | | With every passing hour our solar system comes forty-three thousand miles closer to globular cluster M13 in the constellation Hercules, and still there are some misfits who continue to insist that there is no such thing as progress. | | | Last edited: by Skywatcher |

Congrats to the American women. First time ever American's have gone gold and silver in the all around. I was really pulling for the Russian girl to take the bronze, but congrats to China. Well done! In the individual I felt very sorry for Spoiler: (Select to view)the girl in the vault who didn't see the STOP sign was still up and probably would have got fourth if not for the zero score resting. Rules is Rules, I know, but what the F didn the judges have to do except watch her vault? Why weren't they ready? and in the Mens Gymnastics: Spoiler: (Select to view)Congrats to Louis Smith for getting the first British individual medal in 100 years of Olympic history... only the technicality of how they score in a tie situation stopped it being a silver. How he stayed on during some bit of the routine I'll never know... my heart kept leaping to my mouth! ... and a general one... massive well done to Team GB over the weekend for their great medal haul! | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
