Caps???? Who's talking about caps???

The cast list is different. I can't be the only one who sees more uncredited people listed on IMDB than what is in the old profile.

Wasn't that what you just posted?  Now, not only are you pointing out the caps but you are highlighting the word 'player' which was obviously left out because of the field length?  Like I said, it sure seems like it is a matter of 'not wanting to see it'.

Hey, if you think it looks too much like IMDB data, don't use it.

Sure looks like a scrape job to me. It sure was nice of the contributor to capitolize the "m" in Man. I'm sure it would have been declined if he didn't. He couldn' fit "player" in the field because of space limitations and he didn't leave out the missing actor and voice role. It wasn't added to IBDb until after he'd copied the cast list.

I'm not as I don't own the title in question.  Personally, I don't like removing uncredited data either but, I am not going to sit here and pretend it isn't what it is.

It's all BS, Skip.  You've said yourself that profiles for the new database can't grandfather this stuff from the old database, so just dumping this crap in there was wrong from the gitgo.  In addition, none of the notes for this one contain one shred of documentation for including it.  That's another violation.  Allowing this stuff to stand as is, is a colossal load of manure.

Looks to me like the original contributor cut and paste the first entry and then started to get cute on the subsequent ones.  But whatever, somebody could have bothered to track down every last person that had even a passing role in the movie.  Surprised there are no entries for the livestock.

Well, I'll put it to you this way folks..... the IMDB data for the "uncredited" cast is correct. I just watched the film and listened to the commentary and they are there. The voice credit is specifically mentioned in the commentary.

The film calls the "Ryker Men" several things including Ryker Brothers, Ryker Men and Ryker Boys so take your pick.

None of which is even the issue.  The rules say no documentation, no uncredited entries, and if that is the case, they can be removed.  Nor am I under any obligation to verify uncredited stuff that somebody else ILLEGALLY entered in the first place.  THAT is the issue.

To what purpose?  Who cares who the bartender was? Or who one of Ryker's men who gets shot was?  The producers/directors made up the list of cast they felt were worthy of credit.  That should be sufficient.  I wish Ken would make all this uncredited junk local only, or at least opt out, that would eliminate the arguments, and both sides would be able to have things any way they want.

So now your position is that even though the Data is correct you want to remove it because it includes functionality you don't want? People don't get credited for a host of reasons especially in the old studio days.

It's not a carbon copy and what the rules actually say is to CHANGE data you need to provide documentation. You are the one wanting to change the Data so provide the documentation that it is wrong. Kind of difficult since we now know it's right.

Hmm it's monumentally easier to remove uncredited entries in a local database than to add them. So there is your solution spend one afternoon deleting all your unwanted uncredited and lock the cast easy. I like to know about cameos and uncredited and if others have taken the time and th effort to add them to the database I like to have them, if they are wrong and or a carbon copy of 3rd party data then i know they have to go. These aren't so surely they stay.

Well, so much for my agreement with removal.  Further proof of what happens when I assume.

While I generally don't trust the bulk of our uncredited entries, I'll eat crow in this case.  Somebody should add an entry to this one so we can get this documented and at least clean up this profile.
