Hope I'm not late to the party

I made a special rule for my list only to include movies I've seen in their original language from a DVD I own. That ruled out a lot of stuff that would be on it otherwise. My collection is also severely lacking in the 60s/70s department, especially for European productions. As you can see some childhood memories from the late 80s rank higher than they probably should :D

Hah, I'm surprised by my own list. I'd never have expected that many 80s/2000s movies and that few 90s (1) and 40s movies. I'm also wondering why no silent made the list. I gotta watch more of those I own

I was just thinking, I don't think I even considered Rodger & Hammerstein's The King & I.  If there's a pre-YearX list, I'll have to ensure it gets in there... and if we repeat this again next year (making it an annual event would be cool), I'll be sure to give it due consideration.

Meanwhile, I watched Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ (1925) last night, and am wondering if I enjoyed it enough to trump anything on my list (which I won't be changing for now anyway).  An excellent film.
