| Posted: | | | | How about Battlestar Galactica instead of SG:1? While there aren't as many seasons, it should keep you busy for a while -- at a smaller cost outlay. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. BSG is a lot of fun. My wife and I have everything except 4.5 and The Plan. We enjoyed all except the last 2 or 3 episodes of the series. With the shows and extra content it should take you a least a month if you do not watch more than three episodes a day. |

| Posted: | | | | Well... with just about 17 days left before the big marathon (and I do plan on doing my reviews for each movie watched here as well)... I have been concentrating on what movies I should order next. With the help from some friend's recommendations here is what I am thinking...
- The Orphanage (Spanish horror - Recommended by a friend) - Duel (Recommended by a friend) - The Val Lewton Horror Collection (Recommended by a friend) Which contains: Cat People, Curse of the Cat People, I Walked with Zombies, The Body Snatcher, Isle of the Dead, Bedlam, The Leopard Man, The Ghost Ship, The Seventh Victim & Shadows in the Dark - Vampire Collection: Collector's Tin Which includes: Dracula and His Vampire Bride, Dracula's Curse, Carnal & The Vampire Night Orgy - Slaughter - The Haunting in Connecticut - The Substitute - The Uninvited - Autopsy - Black Christmas (original)
Anyway... that is what I am considering at this time. Every one of them a blind buy. So what do you fellow horror fanatics think? | | | Pete |

I'd say the Orphange is more of a thriller than a horror, but it is good all the same. Duel is great fun (I'm assuming this is the Steven Spielberg 'car chase' horror?) - one of Speilberg's better films IMO. I've also been meaning to get hold of that Val Lewton collection myself - I've seen I Walked with a Zombie and thoroughly enjoyed it. There's a few there I haven't seen, but I would heartily recommend the original Black Christmas - probably my favourite slasher movie ever and much better than the stinker of a re-make. If you haven't seen it another great classic slasher is Mario Bava's Bay of Blood AKA Twitch of the Death Nerve. I think the only one I've seen from the Vampire tin is Vampire' Night Orgy - which is enjoyable. I'm not sure which Autopsy that is (the new After Dark Horrorfest one? - If so I haven't seen that yet!), the one I've seen is the giallo by Armando Crispino - which is also very good. Good luck with it again this year and I may join you like last year - I certainly have a lot of horror i want to watch, and I haven't been abstaining like you have! | | | DVD Blu-Ray LastFM |

| Posted: | | | | I wouldn't call Spielberg's "Duel" a horror movie, but it's a terrific thriller. Only fulll-screen, unfortunately, as it was made as a TV movie back in 1971. | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks guys...
and yeah bizarre_eye... the Autopsy I mean is the new After Dark Horrorfest one. I haven't seen any of the new year's collection yet... so kinda looking forward to them. Slaughter and The Substitute is also from that collection if I remember right. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | How could I forget... The TV Series Fear Itself recently came out! I just added that to my amazon cart as well. Getting lots and lots of new horror to watch next month! Though I will admit when my copy of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans arrived yesterday I almost got weak and watched it... but I stayed strong!... so far. | | | Pete | | | Last edited: by Addicted2DVD |

| Posted: | | | | OK... getting close now. Exactly 2 weeks from today I will be starting my horror marathon. And I tell you... it is really getting hard at this point. This is the longest I ever went without horror as it has now been 78 Days without watching any kind of horror!
To make matters worse... I just looked at my amazon cart... most the movies I had placed in the cart for my next order has gone up in price. Some almost doubling. I guess they were on sale and the sale went off... so I may have to re-thing a big portion of my order. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Pete,
I hate that too, when prices go up from one day to the other, could always punch myself then for not finalizing my order one day earlier.

| Posted: | | | | Yup... real pain. Unfortunately I can't place the order till I get paid in a couple weeks. Maybe I will be lucky and by then they will go back on sale due to the holiday. | | | Pete |
