Those who didn't make the cut in no particular order: Star Trek: DS9
I'm confused. The fact that Enterprise made #3 and Deep Space Nine didn't make the list at all is a clear indication that you have poor taste in TV shows. Yet you picked Babylon 5 as #1, which shows that you have excellent taste in TV shows. Help! My poor brain can't reconcile these two conflicting facts! The paradox is making my head hurt! For the record, I enjoyed Enterprise (particularly the excellent 4th season). But it's very rare to see that top someone's list of the best Treks in my experience. And since DS9 is sooo similar to Babylon 5, it's shocking it didn't make the list. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | Well I'm just as confused - at all these lists , My list, which I submitted many pages back would have to be as close as you can get to any top 10 TV series ( or shows) of all time..
...and Star Trek, if you recall was derailed after only 79 episodes, & never even made it to a Season 4 . , .., hence all these carbon copies after that would ( to me ) pale in comparison to the original series 1964 - 1967 . | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Since it's a very subjective topic, what's best for one person may not even feature in a top 100 for another person. I haven't even seen any episodes of your top 3 so they certainly wouldn't appear in my list. I may have caught the odd episode or part episode of Seinfeld or 24 but again they aren't what I would consider to be the best of all time. |

| Posted: | | | | One of the main factors I had for ranking was how "involved" I was marathoning through the series. I totally plowed through Enterprise and thought it was a most excellent series. I also enjoyed the large story arcs which was also prevalent in B5. DS:9 had big arcs too, but not as often until towards the end of the series.
I thought about adding ST: Voyager but I really only overly enjoyed Season 6. | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |

I thought about adding ST: Voyager but I really only overly enjoyed Season 6. I was obviously just having a good time. Still, thanks for the explanation. I really did find it interesting. Anyway, thinking about Babylon 5 & Deep Space 9 reminded me of this page comparing the two. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. | Posted: | | | | I'm surprised how "The Simpsons" is so far listed quite low, if at all. As I mentioned before, I don't watch much TV series at all, but I would have thought that (20 years of) The Simpsons were much more represented in top10 lists here. It seems that many of the Scifi-series are going to end up quite high - and that genre is especially something I have missed over the years... except Space 1999 which was one of my very favourites as child. | | | Mika I hate people who love me, and they hate me. Since we're looking at series as a whole, at least in my consideration 2/3 of the run (of The Simpsons) has been fairly crappy. When it's good, it's genius, but on average it's eh. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." | | | Last edited: by gardibolt |

| Posted: | | | | I once thought The Simpsons was okay, but I have an ex-roommate who was obsessed with that show and after living with her (and having to watch it every day for two years) now I can't stand that show. Bart and Homer can go die in a fire. (Because of our other roommate, she now hates Ranma 1/2, so I guess that's even...?) Besides, if we're surprised not to see shows on these lists because of their long runs, where are the soaps? There's what, over 60 years of Guiding Light? | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | Funny that all the shows are fairly recent (except for a very few from the 70s). No one mentioned shows like Bonanza, The Big Valley, Gun Smoke, Have Gun Will Travel, The Virginian, The Tall Man, Red Skelton, Laurence Welk, Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. It is pure heck to be old. | | | NightHawke Wherever I go, there I am!? |

Look at my list. Except for HGWT, you listed shows which I never enjoyed on a regular long-term basis. Well, maybe Red Skelton, too, but he stole so much from Keaton, it hurt too much to watch after a while. | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

| Posted: | | | | I loved The Phoenix that aired in 1981 but it only made it to five episodes but that evidently didn't stop it from being released on DVD . |

some mentioned "The Twilight Zone".
Did the posters mean the 1959 or the 1985 series?
