| Posted: | | | | I'm getting many "No" votes to my Harrison Ford birthdate contributions , so if you feel like getting him correct in the database, you might want to check in on whichever titles you own. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

| Posted: | | | | I downloaded version 2 also and it worked quite well. I have manually added probably several hundred actors/actresses (mostly from TV shows - I have a large collection) that I will try to send on to the creators.
Thanks again.

| Posted: | | | | Looks like there should also be multiple Alan Lees added to the database. There's one that shows up in Rear Window and Artists & Models, the one who is in The Two Towers in a cameo who designed the LOTR movies, and one that shows up uncredited as a casino patron in Four Brothers, if the DVDP database is to believed. While the LOTR Alan Lee (BY 1947) is readily available as a headshot, I'm having trouble coming up with the other two (and their BY, for that matter, to distinguish them). Anyone have these pieces of info/headshots? | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

Wondering how many films the silent-film Harrison Ford was in. I decided to look him up in IMDB instead. Acknowledging that IMDB may be wrong and often is, they have listed 87 films for the silent Harrison Ford between 1915 and 1932. Apparently he was one of the silent-era performers who never made the transition to sound. As more silent films make their wy to DVD (and I certainly hope they do) there may be many more films with the elder Harrison Ford in the database. But I'll bet dollars to donuts that no more than a handful of the thousands of Profiler users ever heard of that Harison Ford - so the NO votes aren't surprising. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? Question for jykke and Juoquim before i install this one... - if only actors with head shots are present, does it just not touch actors without headshots that i have listed in credits for films in my db?
Nothing happens to headless people.
And regarding the listed 10 same name actors: Before you restore, you can prepare your own database by adding the names manually. Eg. if you now only have the other James Brown in your database, make sure that he has birth year. Add the second James Brown too, together with BY, even if you do not have any DVDs where he performs. That way there shouldn't be any corruption. The names were: Kenny Baker 1912 & 1934 Matthew Beard 1925 & 1989 Colin Farrell 1938 & 1976 Harrison Ford 1884 & 1942 Jim Norton 1938 & 1968 Tracy Reed 1942 & 1949 Kevin Smith 1963 & 1970 Liz Smith 1921 & 1923 John Williams 1903 & 1932 James Brown 1920 & 1933
I'm not sure what happens to such names who now has BY in your database but not in this master.
the BY in your database remains... meaning restoring this new master will get you the newer headshots / no nudity... but will not correct the YOB issue from the first master. I can confirm that we are still stuck with the Birt Years from version one. Anyone have any tips for getting rid of these without going through every actor in my local DB? |

| Posted: | | | | Telecine: for now... i dont think there is... i have been removing them on a profile by profile basis as i see them when making contributions...
as fun as going through the entire actor database sounds... i'd rather not... i will be waiting for Ken to announce whatever future plans he has for the YOB field... he has previously stated he was working on something to fix the confusion...
if you were planning on doing it manually... i would suggest doing a database repair first, which will remove all actors not in profiles - making the number of down arrow taps immensely smaller... then if you wish to have the full list (with headshots anyhow...) back - simply restore from v2... then i would suggest making a new backup for yourself... because it would suck to loose that much manual work. | | | -JoN |

Oh joy! I have an idea for a small enhancement that would make sorting this out a lot easier (pun intended). If we could sort on the "Born" column in the cast area we could sort all of the actors with BYs assigned to the top then edit them one by one. Does anyone else think that this is the best way forward at this point? |

There's the Image double feature of Outside the Law/Shadows, Sally of the Sawdust (with WC Fields) and Foolish Wives by von Stroheim, all of which I have. Anyway, he needs distinguishing, unless you're willing to accept that the current HF is 123 years old (might be, actually). | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

Is there any way to reset the flag? Did I mention that I want to strangle the person who put them in for all these actors. |
