Addendum version 8 can be downloaded here.

Thanks to Speedy for the latest corrections. (BTW, because of this update, I noticed John Barry was linked incorrectly for 80% of the profiles, so I updated 13 R3 Netherlands profiles)

Since corrections are almost coming in daily, I decided update the addendum on a weekly basis. Some of the latest updates I did only corrected 2 or 3 images. I believe it's more time efficient to switch to a weekly release schedule (provided errors keep being posted here).

Thanks again to all contributors.

Here's the documentation for the Billy Wests:

Billy West (1952), voice actor, Ren & Stimpy among others:
www.billywest.com (West's own site) biography page: "Billy West was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1952 and did a lot of daydreaming and blurting out surreal voices and noises."

Billy West (1892) silent comedian:
IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0921941/  born September 1892
Donald W. McCaffrey, Guide to the Silent Years of American Cinema, page 291 "West, Billy.  Born Roy B. Weissberg September 22 1892 in Russia."  (relevant page available on Google Books Search).

I don't know offhand if both of these BYs have been accepted into the db so I won't post these just now in the Accepted Birth Years thread until I've had a chance to verify.
"This movie has warped my fragile little mind."

Quick question:

I haven't downloaded any of the addendums. Do I need to download all of them, or will downloading the latest version give me all the new headshots?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered already.

You don't need to download the previous ones, the latest version contains all the updates mentioned in this topic.

Any thoughts on when to split, I thought of going up to version 10, and then start off with a new file.

Or do you guys prefer to keep 1 addendum.

Splitting off would be great.  I find that I have to keep going back and remove redundant headshot entries for all the actors with multiple entries.  To say that it's time consuming is an understatement.

Version 9 will be the last cumulative update (I have  30+ new headshots added to the addendum since the last post).

For version 10, I'll start off with an empty database.

As promised, here is version 9 of the addendum.

This version has 1308 cast members and 61 crew members. I also uploaded an Excel file containing all names including BY for those who are interested.

As requested by mdnitoil, all new additions and corrections will come in a new file, so you don't have to keep reprocessing the same images over and over.

If anyone is adding images to his local database and doesn't feel like creating database backups to share, you can email the JPG files if you like. Just send me a PM and I'll give you my email address.

Since no errors are spotted in the last days, the new file will take some time. As soon as I have added 100 new images to my database, I'll post an update.

Just a thought, but if this is going to become a regular thing, perhaps a monthly update file is in order.  The naming convention becomes self-explanatory and they can later be compressed together to generate larger periodic updates.

That's a timing I can live with. Unless errors are reported. In that case I believe an immediate release is better to avoid the spreading of incorrect headshots.

Other than that, a monthly release, with a compressed release twice a year seems like a good idea.

Excellent call mdnitoil.

Although this thread documents one of the Billy West's as being born in 1952 (with a link to his official site), your Excel-file lists it as 1950 (which is his birth year as given by IMDb: I trend to trust his own official website).

Also, John Morris in the crew section now has a picture of John Joubert - the photo obviously came from here, but John Morris the name of the photographer, not of the guy in the picture.

Thanks, those 2 corrections will be in the new file. Since this might take a wile, the correct image for John Morris can be downloaded separately here.

I made a screencap of Frankie J. Allison of an episode of "The Net", not the best quality, but at least I have the correct headshot.

I'd like to point out that per the CLT results, not Frankie J. Allison, but Frankie Jay Allison is his "common name". "Frankie J. Allison" is just the incorrect (but as always: widely propagated) IMDb-name which is hardly ever used in actual credits.

Thanks. It may also be good to know that the composer John Morris needs a birth year (1926) to distinguish between him and supervising sound editor John Morris ('Wild Things', 'Tapeheads', 'My Super Ex-Girlfriend', 'The Sweetest Thing' and so on). This birth has already been accepted into the database.

that's because there is no headshot program.

Just download a backup file of headshots and restore the headshots

First download this file.
Extract the zip file. Then perform a database restore (File --> restore database --> browse to the headshots_v4.dbp file.

Then download this file and do a restore again.
