| Posted: | | | | I'm not the biggest poster on these forums, but I'll add my name in the hat of who has been using this program. My phone is a Motorola Droid Bionic. More on that in a little.
For the most part, so far so good.
Now with the Bionic, the phone is configured differently when it comes to exporting, so I have to do all manual exports. The only problem I have is that in my collection, the images/thumbnails are not displaying at all. Does anyone have a solution for that? |

| Posted: | | | | There are a few things that can cause this.
First bring your default directory structure needs to be correct
/sdcard/droid_dvdp/ /sdcard/droid_dvdp/database /sdcard/droid_dvdp/images /sdcard/droid_dvdp/images/thumbnails
Does the Bionic not allow access via mount as disc drive ?

thanks Hi In the drop down it should state plugin beta 0.2 Droid DVDP. Something I've forgotten on occasion: the plugin only shows if your phone is connected to the computer. When your phone is connected, next to Help should be Plugins.Dave |

Dave Starting for version 0.2 or 0.3, the plugin does not automatically search the phone anymore. You have to click the refresh button. So Pelikan should see the plugin. |

Hi Oliver The plugin shows on the plugin list, incorrect version number. It does not show next to help unless the phone is plugged into the PC. Verified it tonight. And just proved myself incorrect. I give up I'm exhausted. Insomnia is not nice. Off to see if I can get some sleep. Later, Dave |

| Posted: | | | | Dave - at least on my system, the plug in drop down is present even without the phone being plugged in.
Very odd behavior.
I thought it was a little odd when Droid_DVDP made a plug in drop down show up, then I installed the Statistics plug in and it also went to that drop down.
So I currently have plug in's in the Tool Bar drop down and then again under Tools>Plug Ins

| Posted: | | | | Another way to start the plugin if you can't find it in the menu:
Open the Edit Profile window, at the top is a bar showing "Test". Click on Test, opening a bar showing "Say Hello C#". Click on that, and the plugin starts. | | | Hans |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry, I don't know how the title of the "Edit Profile" window has been translated into French. Where do you go when you want to edit a profile? | | | Hans |

| Posted: | | | | Reinstall the plug in but make sure you right click and "Run as Administrator"
just to see if something didnt install correctly.
and of course make sure DVDP is closed before installing a new plug in

| Posted: | | | | For all those who don't like commandline tools, here might be an alternative: myphoneexplorerYou have to install an application on the PC and the app from the market on the android device. In the PC application you can add file sync jobs in the file view. I tried it with the image folder and the database folder. It worked for the image folder, unfortunately not for the database. But I think it should not be a big problem to move the database otherwhise to the android device. I did it and everything worked fine on the galaxy s2 with more than 1300 profiles. A big big "THANK YOU" Olivier!!! Until now I worked with the movilicious app but converting the dvdprofiles was not very user-friendly. It should be a big improvement now. I also worked on an xsl transformation to an html file. I got it running on the PC, but with occasional crashes of firefox. The mobile browser had no chance because the file and the grafics were too much. When I got some time, I will try to make a java tool for creating several html files or a ajax tool for loading the data asynchronous. But don't expect anything before summer. If someone has any questions to myphoneexplorer or wants to have a look at my xslt-file, don't hesitate. here some requests for improvement on the android app: It would be great to export also the personal data, e.g., storage location or tagsin my opinion the cover size in the cover view on the galaxy s2 is to big, maybee it could be personlizedAnd as already mentioned the scrolling in the cover viewBut great work anyway. gwildu |
