I sure hope that your posting was a joke. If it wasn't a joke, then I am glad you are in California and I am in Canada.
I refuse to dignify your insults with a response other than to say that at least I had the guts to openly express my opinion on this matter. Apparently in doing so I opened myself up for public redicule...but such is life. I never once thought that my wording could have been considered an insult or ridiculing. It is a fact that should you not be joking, and apparently you aren't, then I am truly pleased you are there and not here. I admire your guts in being so forthright. But my opinion is that your proposed methods are just plain silly. | | | Graham |

What surprises me even more is that there are still people out there that do not see that the climate has changed constantly since this planet was created, and think just because they finally noticed change they think its catastrophic. |

I admire your guts in being so forthright. But my opinion is that your proposed methods are just plain silly. Let me see if I have this right. According to you it’s silly to prepare for a possible Global Warming catastrophic event such as mass flooding of the coastlines due to rising sea levels therefore it is unnecessary to relocate populations in vulnerable coastal areas? Do you propose that the inhabitants in these vulnerable areas build their dwellings on stilts? You find it silly to establish a National Global Warming Preparedness Plan? Do you propose we just sit and wait to see how things go before planning for any contingencies that may arise due to the effects of Global Warming? You find it silly to invest in infrastructure, augment communications systems, coordinate agencies and prepare national and local emergency plans in the event of a national emergency caused by the effects of Global Warming? I suppose you think that cutting CO2 emissions and cutting down fewer trees alone will protect us from global super-storms, coastal flooding, drought and mass crop failure as the alarmists so vehemently proclaim awaits us? You find it silly to have an emergency plan for your family in case of a catastrophic global warming event? It’s silly to have an emergency food and water supply of at least two weeks in the event of a national emergency? You find it silly to keep a firearm in your home and train your family members in its safe use and handling for self-defense? You feel that being prepared is silly? Then you’re right…I’m also glad you’re in Canada and I’m here in California. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | It is also very well documented that the vast majority of Climate Monitoring equipment is poorly placed. Smack dump in the middle of most concrete jungles which are known major heat source, and in many cases placed near heat producing devices such as air conditioning units. I know from experience that, this time of year, my little concrete jungle typically runs about 5 degrees colder than Washington DC, an phenomenon not explained by being ONLY 40 miles away. I also know that if I leave my little concrete jungle and drive 5 miles or less in any direction from town, I will see another temperature drop of 5-15 degrees.
The point being made is that there are MANY variables involved in this topic, and the doomsayers PICK out the variables which serve their purpose. Personally i think the reason for doing this is that the masses are so easily led down whatever path the "leader" wants to follow. Let's remember that we have only been able to first hand follow meteorological data for 150 years, and our ability to track it today is FAR more advanced and sophisticated than it was 150 years ago. Te rest of or climatalogical knowledge comes from inferences made from inferences made through interpretation of the geological record. Let's 150 years out of 4 Billion...that's a real good and accurate sampling of data. Kind of like predicting the results of an election by interviewing half a dozen voters. I am not questioning the science, I AM questioning whether we are accurately interpreting what we are seeing. This happens all the time in science

Yes I find most of your comments silly in this regard, but the following comments of your's are just ludicrous:
"You find it silly to have an emergency plan for your family in case of a catastrophic global warming event? It’s silly to have an emergency food and water supply of at least two weeks in the event of a national emergency? You find it silly to keep a firearm in your home and train your family members in its safe use and handling for self-defense?"
Do you think this global warming event will occur quickly enough so that 2 weeks of food & water is going to do you any good? Have you really thought all of this out? I don't think so. | | | Graham | | | Last edited: by FUBAR |
