Quote: According to Wikipedia, "a New York minute is an informal term used to mean a very short period of time. The term refers to the common perception that the people in New York City are hurried and impatient."
It's also defined as the timeperiod from green light appearing on a traffic light until the first honk (app 0.01 sec)

One thing I'm kinda interested in is what the criteria is for different "star power" so to speak with the reputation system. Is it something like: Highest > 401+ Superior 301 to 400 Great 201 to 300 Good 101 to 200 Normal 0 to 100 Slightly Low -1 to -25 Low -26 to -50 Lower -51 to -100 Very Low < -101
Does someone know?? yes, Ken and Gerri know. And they have stated that the details will not be made public |

If anyone deserves stars for being helpful, why not the people who created and marketed this software? | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

I know I wouldn't want people looking too closely for hidden meanings in something I write in Spanish or worse German. a VERY valid point. I think some of us (myself included) forget that we do not have just English speaking members in the forums. After reading this entire thread, I have to come to the conclusion that it was purely a misconception about what was said as it may have been lost slightly in translation. Hopefully we can leave this behind us and work as a team to make this database the best out there. We should all also be able to play together and enjoy the DVDs that have brought us all together here. | Posted: | | | | Falcon, as I understand it it's not a magical number for each level. It takes multiple votes from multiple users to reach the next level (up or down). And the key is multiple users
Example - 30 votes from the same one person will not change your reputation much (if at all) however 30 votes from 30 different users would. Unfortunately (or fortunately I suppose) there is no way to see if any votes you get are from a small group of users making them worth less, or from different individuals making them worth more. |
