| Posted: | | | | The Good Witch's FamilyKind witch Cassie (Catherine Bell) welcomes her long-lost cousin Abigail (Sarah Power) into her home in the fourth installment of this whimsical film series. Abigail stirs up trouble, however, as she tries to tear Cassie's family apart. My Thoughts:I don't know what it is about this series of films that I like so much. Granted I am a Catherine Bell fan... but I don't normally go for the sweet, always happy ending type. At least not this much. It is just a cute and fun movie... I enjoyed it. | Posted: | | | | Title: Halloween II: Unrated Director's CutYear: 2009 Director: Rob Zombie Rating: Unrated Length: 119 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1 Subtitles: English, Commentary Stars:Sheri Moon Zombie Chase Vanek Scout Taylor-Compton Brad Dourif Caroline Williams Malcolm McDowell Plot:Rob Zombie's H2 (HALLOWEEN II) picks up at the exact moment that 2007's box-office smash HALLOWEEN stopped and follows the aftermath of Michael Myers' (Tyler Mane) murderous rampage through the eyes of heroine Laurie Strode (Scout Tayloy-Compton). Evil has a new destiny. Michael Myers is back in this terrifying sequel to Rob Zombie's visionary re-imagining of HALLOWEEN. It is thaqt time of year again, and Michael Myers has returned home to sleepy Haddonfield, Illinois to take care of some unfinished family business. Unleashing a trail of terror that only horror master Zombia can. Myers will stop at nothing to bring closure to the secrets of his twisted past. But the town's got an unlikely new hero, if they can only stay alive long enough to stop the unstoppable. Extras:Scene Access Audio Commentary Bonus Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Music Videos Outtakes/Bloopers My Thoughts: I went into this one somewhat excited as I enjoyed the remake of part 1. But this one didn't work quite as much for me. It started out pretty good and I thought I would really enjoy it. But then as I watch I realize there is something wrong here. First... what happened to the town? Haddonfield always seemed to be an average middle-classed town. But in this one it feels more like a back-woods redneck town more then anything else. They really turned Loois' character into quite a jerk in this one. I mean they just ruined his character in this one. And to be quite honest none of the characters is all that likable this time around. Then there was quite a lot of scenes that were just plain too dark. I mean I understand it is night-time... but we should still be able to see what is going on. I do applaud Rob Zombie for making the remake his own... I mean this is definitely not a carbon copy of the original Halloween series! But I didn't like getting so deep into Michael Myer's head. In my eyes it took away from who/what Michael Myers is. This is turning out to be a very negative review here... but there is some things I did like about it as well. Mostly how they keep things moving... how they keep the tension up. Maybe I should have re-watched the original remake before this one... but I am really not sure if that would have made things for this one better or worse. If you want to check this one out for yourself... let me suggest that you be sure to get it cheap... or better yet... catch it on cable. My Rating: 4/5 Count: Movie Count: 35 TV Ep. Extras:Scene Access Closed Captioned My Thoughts: This is the first ever Halloween episode... and also I think I would have to say my favorite Halloween episode of the series.I always loved the idea of the characters turning into their Halloween costumes. I would also say that the entire season 2 is most likely my favorite season of the series. Gotta love Evil Angel! My Rating: 4.5/5 Count: Movie Count: 35 TV Ep. Count: 69 Other Count: 1 | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Title: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Complete Fourth Season: Fear ItselfYear: 1999 Director: Tucker Gates Rating: NR Length: 42 Min. Video: Full Frame 1.33:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround, French: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround, Spanish: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround Subtitles: English, Spanish Stars:Sarah Michelle Gellar Nicholas Brendon Alyson Hannigan Seth Green Anthony Head [Anthony Stewart Head] Plot:A Halloween party at a campus frat house takes a frightening turn with the sudden appearance of blood-sucking bats, zombies, and a demon that plays on everyone's innermost fears. Extras:Scene Access Audio Commentary Production Notes Closed Captioned Scripts My Thoughts: Another fun Halloween episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I like how they noted the first Halloween episode where Xander made sure he was something cool and tough just in case they were turned into their costumes again. I also had to laugh at Anya wanting to dress up as something scary so she dressed as a bunny since they frighten her! And got to say I got a kick out of when they revealed the Fear Demon. Definitely a fun episode! My Rating: 4/5 Count: Movie Count: 35 TV Ep. Count: 70 Other Count: 1 | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | As I said before I ever started the marathon this month... my heart just wasn't in it. I am now calling it quits for this year. Hopefully I will be more into it next year. I knew I wasn't going to do too good on the number of movies... but think I did ok considering. Definitely was more of a TV Episode year this year... a goal I did meet!
Sorry I couldn't provide as many reviews as I normally do! | | | Pete |
