Quote: boxing has been great so far Why did David Haye not qualify for the Olympic Games? He's a professional and the Olympics is for 'amateurs' only. As soon as they fight in a recognised professional fight then they can no longer compete in the Olympics. |

Or basketball etc. I don't mind the athletes getting paid for endorsements but professionals should be banned from the Olympics. |

| Posted: | | | | What a demonstration by Usain Bolt! Wow... Very proud to have Martina in that final as well, coming in as 6th. Did you see a bottle being thrown behind the athletes during the start? Dutch bronze medalist in judo Edith Bosch was sitting in the stadium behind the guy who threw it. She says he was drunk, acting weird already and screaming in a disrespectful way, and then threw his bottle. In anger, she hit the drunk before security arrived, but due to all the commotion she missed Bolt's race. Imagine being in the stadium and missing Bolt's 9,63 seconds because of some useless drunk... |

He then decided to stay out of the 10th race, since he didn't want to influence the struggle for silver, and now only has to start in the concluding medal race to pick up the gold. | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

That can't be right because GB played Ryan Giggs who is in his 30's. Not to mention Bellamy and the fact that Beckham was gutted he didn't make the squad. I love the fact that the International Olympics Committee changed the rules on the track cycling after a small GB team won loads of medals in 2008. They changed the rule so now each team member could take part in the team sprint and only one other event. Well, out of 7 medals, GB have 5 gold, a bronze and got disqualified in the other. Shove that up your bumhole IOC. |
