| Posted: | | | | Ive just tried to for the first time sync my mobile database to a windows dvdprofiler (which i paid for exclusively for a once off transfer and convert to csv to go to a different service) and its just reduced by 6500+ database to 360 entries.....What the FFFFFFFFFFFFF.
Its kept just the last 360 entries. The first 6153 have gone from my ios app. To say im wiped out and completely gutted is an understatement. I am so fd off with invelos. No, i dont have an online cloud stored DB because that got wiped while i was hoping to fix the server issues they introduced.
Any ideas on how to restore the ios db and start again...oh im so pissed off...
I have another thought...Because this was a new phone and the DB was restored from an IOS backup, this meant many of the entries didnt have cover art because a cloud sync had never taken place....However the more recent entries had cover art, i never thoroughly understood why this was ever the case with restored backups...but i digress...Anyway, I have an ipad with the first 5500 entries in the database and all of them have cover art (was probably one of my last sync's before the server went).....Do you think this would sync better with the windows dvd profiler? Im a little reluctant to try, but at the same time, i dont want to use dvd profiler anymore, ever, amen! :D | | | Last edited: by dvdbloke2206 |

| Posted: | | | | Download your last database upload. iOS download still works.
Ignore my above comment. I just noticed you previously deleted your online database. | | | Last edited: by nanoron |

| Posted: | | | | Here's something to try. Upload from your older iPad to the online database. It may say it failed, but it may still upload. Then try downloading to the PC and see what happens. If it downloads something to your PC, run the database repair tool. |

| Posted: | | | | The pc ends up with the 360 which is left on the phone.
I tried iPad sync to cloud also. Just fails the same as the iPhone.
I managed to restore my iPhone from backup so have my 6.5k db back on the phone.
Not sure what to do next. |

| Posted: | | | | So, keeping this the most simple as I can...I have a 6.5K DB on an iphone ios18, and I want to get a CSV extract so I can move to mymovies... I have no invelos cloud backup of this and cannot upload to the cloud... Ive just bought a license for a new installation of dvd profiler on a borrowed windows 10 laptop. Can I sync my iphone DB to the DVD Profiler on the windows laptop? When I try to sync the ios app doesnt allow me to click the send updates switch. when I set up the connection on the windows app I dont set up a password, I dont know if i need to select the change access option or if that matters? the ios device connects to the DVD profiler windows program, but the sync screws the database. Thats where I am at the moment, i was wondering if it was only a 1 way sync from windows to ios, but then i would just end up with a blank DB on the ios and continued blankness on the windows. But it just seems to sync a small number of the newest entries... HELP! And help would be greatly appreciated. I do have a smaller DB on an ipad which i can restore after its wiped, so can do some limited experiments before trying the iphone again...I dont fancy doing another 16 hour restore on my phone if i can help it! |

| Posted: | | | | I'm not a Windows person, so I don't know if this will work or what effect it will have on your system, but it may be worth a try. I'm assuming the issue is the date stamp on the PC database files. We did things like this preparing for Y2K. Uninstall DVD Profiler from your PC making sure to delete its database files. Disconnect from the internet. Then reset your PC clock back a few years, reinstall DVD Profiler and try syncing again. If it works you can then reconnect and set your clock correctly. |

| Posted: | | | | This is something to try. It is a long-shot at fixing your issue.
In the new installation of the PC version DVDProfiler: "Hold the Ctrl key and select Refresh Online Profile List... under the Online... tab."
(Since the DVDProfiler website crashed awhile back, this has been necessary to get DVDProfiler to function correctly.) See this thread http://invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=1088572
Then try syncing to the PC again. | | | Last edited: by zappman |

| Posted: | | | | My advice to others reading this thread, DO NOT DELETE YOUR ONLINE DATABASE! |
