Is Ford actually... almost smiling a bit in that pic?

Spielberg is pulling off miracles already.

Indiana Jones is one of my favorite movie characters ever!

Harrison Ford is perfect at the part. It will be very interesting to see how well he does after all these years.

Thanks for the info Erik. Cant wait for the movie

Heh, the guy is pushing 70 (and in all fairness dusty -- literally -- in this shot).

Generally the web feedback is pretty good about ol' Harrison.

The concern was that he'd be in the "new Ford mode" (sullen, bored-looking, see any of his recent films or interviews for this).  I just hope the script is in good shape.  Lucas kicking out the Darabont draft was an unpopular move...

You guys must be infants. Having been born 13 July 1942, he is just about to turn 65. He still has a full five years before he reaches "mandatory retirement age" in this country which means there are probably people you work with who are older than him.

For the record I was "sticking up for him" - but of course there'd be no way for you to know that.

He's 65, it's not the same anymore. I really like Harrisons recent movies, even Firewall, but I don't think he can pull off Indy anymore.

I keep hearing this around the net and I don't understand this notion.

To a certain extent I agree that he may not be able to pull off the same Indy from days of yore, but have some faith in Spielberg and Koepp. Once Indy 4 is released, I'm sure you'll see that they actually know what they're doing and how to make the character work with a slightly older actor inhabiting him.

I heard the same ruckus about Stallone and Rocky Balboa and look how it turned out. One of the best movies in the series.
