The PS3 is not selling very well now that the initial rush is over.  A week or so ago, Best Buy was giving them away with the purchase of a big screen TV.

So tempting... Must resist.... Crap, now I've drooled on myself

According to my 21 year old son they still don't have a good game selection. Nothing worth buying the new system for. Even the 5 free Blu-ray titles wasn't enough to get him to buy one.

It's a flop for web browsing unless you have a mouse and keyboard plugged in.  Controlling the mouse pointer via gamepad is a nightmare.

So far, I've seen one really good game for the PS3 - Resistance: Fall of Man.  That game pretty much rocked and it had a long play time too.  The game I'm waiting for is Lair - it's the main reason I got the PS3 and I was pretty disapointed to find out when I picked up the console that the game was delayed.

There are far too many games that were pushed out too quickly for the PS3 which has made their opening launch even more ugly than the xbox initial game release selection.  Sonic - don't even rent that one.

After having 5, 6 (I lose count) Sony products fail on me within months of their warranty expiring, I don't trust any of their equipment.  If I was into gaming, I'd look elsewhere.

So, it would seem that if those scans are not fake that the discount is provided by Circuit City and not Sony. Not that that really matters, a hundred bucks is a hundred bucks, just thought I'd point it out.

I just saw a story on MSN.com about the price cut. Apparently, Sony wanted to wait until Monday to really push the news out there.

Now I really want one.

It is going to happen, the ads are not fake.

The ads are real but Circuit City is having real financial problems and it may be an effort to boost sales for another retailer almost going under as Best Buy is not yet matching it. Then again who really knows.
