| | Posted: | | | | I think it's because they don't actually show many of the more gruesome death sequences like they did with the previous movies. Nobody getting hanged by a chain, nobody getting cut in half by a metal cable, etc.

In my opinion they toned it down too much to get the PG-13 rating. It's as good as the previous 2 sequels but not as good as the original issue. A nice touch, though, was getting to see his daughter all grown up and just as feisty and wise-assed as McClane. I give it a 4 out of 5 Stars. | | | John

| | Posted: | | | | I saw at and enjoyed it. I am split on the PG 13 rating though. I understand that the movie will make more money because it reaches a bigger audience, but I think there was a sacrifice. That aside, the movie was much better than I thought it would be. I remember reading that they were making a fourth and I felt the same way when i read about Rocky Balboa. But all in all they both were good films.
As far as the best, I still like the original most. |

As if the rest of the movie was any less absurd (driiving cars UP a wall to take out a helicopter, fighter jets maneuvering underneath highway overpasses). It's an action flic and meant to entertain in a blow-s**t-up manner. Logic thrown out the window (and blown up on the way down for that matter) is a natural ingredient to this kind of movies....  I enjoyed it immensely and rank it on par with part two and slightly above part 3. Part one is still the best of the franchise | | | | Lutz |

All the three first goes double over this one in my opinion.
