I'm sure that I've seen this in somebody's report, but can't find it now, and have had no success myself.

What I'm trying to do, is to use the AspectRatio *Frame* coupled with filled blocks to produce a representation of the normal widescreen logo on many DVD-disc cases - i.e. black bars top and bottom with a white (or other colour) middle section that varies in height according to the aspect ratio.  The AspectRatio variable has a fill colour, but it doesn't do anything in Frame-mode, but does in Numeric-mode.

The only way I've been able to do it, is by fudging the issue with multiple conditional white rectangles over a black background.

Any thoughts - other than forget it?

I did it the cheap way you mentioned.  A black background that gets covered by a variety of white rectangles.  I have a widescreen TV, so I wanted the report to show what the picture would look like on my TV (easier for guests and my wife to understand), and the default aspect ratio images don't work exactly the way I was thinking.

That exactly the reason I wanted to do this.

Curiously, the Aspect Ratio displays correctly (for a 16:9/widescreen TV) within DVDProfiler itself (in the Audio/Video window), but not within a printed report.  The printed report display of AspectRatio is based upon a 4:3 screen, and goes horribly wrong if you stretch the dimensions to represent a 16:9/widescreen box.
