| Posted: | | | | Had to put this poll out to see if my calculations are fairly correct., Would like to know: in your circle of daily people you run into, whether it is at work, at school, or your favourite outdoor activities? , ( but not the Internet forums or personal Email ) . and have you ever told them about Invelos Software and the program it uses for your growing collection of DVD's? What reactions did you get ?? enjoy | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

| Posted: | | | | I personally in my circle of people probably have one of the largest collections between them,, but when talking over your library of discs almost all have told me that they have just put their titles in a .xml base and just catalogue : title/ runtimes /year/ audio ., One lady I talked to when I was over fixing her PC to the Internet must have had 300 DVD's throughout her living room and family room., but when asked she showed me her little coles note book and it was all written in long hand., the title and what shelf or area of the house it was in.. After showing her personally on the PC, the web site the program, and what the uploaded web site to my library she was extremely excited and fascinated with the prospects., but alas two years later it still hasn't been done. When I innocently brought it up in another conversation, she said She had forgotten about it., and probably wouldn't have the time to log in the numbers, even if she did ten a day for 30 days. So bottom line ,, She loves her movies, she loves her internet but .. "Oh, East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet." So what is your experiences?? | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

| Posted: | | | | I am the only person I know of that uses DVD Profiler. I know a lady with like 2,000 dvd, vhs, betamax tapes. She told me she uses a data base program called EasyData which she used when she ran her company.
She liked the idea of DVD Profiler but since it only did DVD's she saw no point in changing what she does. |

| Posted: | | | | I've told most people I know about this software, but most of them do not have collections over 20-30 DVDs and do not see the point in keeping a database of them. And then they ask me if they can borrower <name any recently released movie>. | | | "Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" - Douglas Bader "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams |

| Posted: | | | | 3 04 for of my acquaintances used the software before I became aware of it. It was through their use that I ditched my old software (VideoList), and registered within 24 hours of trying out 2.4.

| Posted: | | | | My old boss told me about the program about 5 years ago and that is how I got started. I now tell everyone I know who have 50 or more movies about it. I have even run into people at my local Best Buy and told them about it when I heard them bitching about the size of their collection and their poor tracking of it. While I was at the U of A, I showed it to a few different professors, one of which I know installed it and bought the pay version. |

| Posted: | | | | I have told a few people about it but as yet they have not tried it. I found out about this from a forum on one our local sites for purchasing and the person who told me is a member here. I have not come across anyone else! I am the only person I know of in my circle of friends and acquaintances that has so many DVDs. | | | <---------Mithrandir, Laverne and Shirley Caroline |
