| Posted: | | | | A friend and I were discussing our collections and how they seem to fill more and more space as the numbers expand and that led to the question of, what was the first disc you bought (or were gifted) that began the addiction? Mine was 'Blazing Saddles' on 9/6/97 ( I know that because of DVDP.) I know I started later than some others because I had a sizable collection of LaserDiscs already and didn't want to invest in two formats till I was sure DVD was here to stay. It was |

I found deepdvddiscount and been using them and amazon ever since. |

It was obviously after 2000, but I have no idea when exactly. I didn't keep record at that time. Actually, i didn't keep records until 2004! Which is when I started using DVDP. |

Back then you could get excellent deals from online vendors, and most times get the shipped and in your hands before street date. But alas, those days are gone. I can't remember the last time I pre-ordered something. |

| Posted: | | | | On 7/4/97 I bought a new computer with a DVD-ROM drive. It came with my choice of three free DVD's from what at the time was an extremely limited selection at a local Best Buy.
