A user is trying to add "Interviews" to the features list of an R1-version of 'The Jewel of the Nile S.E.' (024543266976), and gathered 22 yes-votes in a couple of hours. Am I really the only one who takes the disc out to check? Talk about sleepwalking through the voting process; even "prominent" users like Skipnet50 blindly voted yes...

There really aren't any interviews, only as part of the two featurettes that are on the disc, 'Romancing the Nile: A Winning Sequel' and 'Adventures of a Romance Novelist'. I thought we all agreed on that we only use "interviews" when they're included as a separate feature, not as part of a featurette? Since most featurettes include some kind of interviews with cast and/or crew members, this would render the "interviews" checkbox totally useless.

We have if interviews are part of the Featurette then it is just a Featurette.  Vote, with the reason why your saying No.

I know what you mean.  I saw him, as well as a few others, vote yes on a submission for '300' who's contribution notes didn't come close to matching the changes and included the following cast change:

'Frédéric Smith' was changed to 'Frˆmdˆmric Smith'
and
'Jean-Michel Paré' was changed to 'Jean-Michel Parˆm'

The contribution was originally a 'new submission' which copied the info from a different profile...so I don't blame the contributor...but the minute it became available for voting all the votes should have been 'no' based on the notes alone.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I don't think he did it to criticise your contribution, I think he did more to highlight the fact that people had blindly voted yes on it. So he was criticising them, not you.

Not that you shouldn't be utterly ashamed of making an incorrect submission...

True! I was just amazed to see that of 22 voters, no-one bothered to check on this. I also wanted to verify whether my no-vote was correct (checking whether we indeed don't tick 'interviews' for interviews incorporated into featurettes). No disrespect at all to richierich - who responded to my no-vote rather swiftly, I might add.
