| Posted: | | | | why did someone change the "Quality Film Collection: The Pianist" into "The Pianist: DTS"?
The EAN is 8716777051399 Can and or may I change this back to it's original Title and cover or do I need to load up a new profile by it's Disc ID? |

| Posted: | | | | Title: The Pianist Edition: Quality Film Collection the front cover does not mention DTS
after viewing the cover in the online it should only have: Title: The Pianist
the edition: Quality Film Collection is probably of a later date! | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions. | | | Last edited: by ? |

| Posted: | | | | I know but the frontcover seems to be used from the DTS version and not QF collection |

| Posted: | | | | it only has a small DTS logo at the back and does not qualify in my opinion for a edition: DTS | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. | Posted: | | | | As with most movies in the 'Quality Film Collection': it's a re-release. There are multiple releases of 'The Pianist' in this locality - the one under the 'Quality Film Collection' banner may even be a re-release under the same EAN-code (barcode) as a previous release. So possibly, the covers for 8716777051399 in the database may be the covers of the original release, while A-Film may have re-released the DVD later on, under the same EAN, with the new 'Quality Film Collection' banner on the front cover. The rules dictate that when there are multiple versions of a certain DVD released with the same EAN, that we should always keep the original data in the database. In that case, you'll have to keep your covers local. Contributing a new profile by its disc ID is not necessary, since it actually HAS an EAN - you just can't submit the updated cover art.
Note, of course, that this is purely speculation, based on checking out the EAN you gave and the other versions of 'The Pianist' in this particular locality. If you're convinced that someone has contributed the wrong cover (thus: from another version) to the profile of 8716777051399, then I agree it should be corrected, along with the "edition" field. But again: if it's a re-release under the same EAN, then the original cover (and "edition" field) must stay.
One more note: for as far as I can see, ALL versions of 'The Pianist' in this locality have the same DTS track. As such, I feel that none of the profiles should use 'DTS' in the "edition" field. The current cover of the EAN you gave, 8716777051399, for example, doesn't even show a DTS-logo of any kind on the front. I agree with Giga Wizard on this, that just having a DTS-track does not automatically qualify for its use in the "edition" field. | | | Last edited: by T!M |
