| Posted: | | | | The answer is 'No'. Australia is ahead of North America as far as Time Zones are concerned...flying from Australia to North America, however, is quite different. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | still not traveling back in time.
Lets look at an example.........
Your plane takes off from Sydney on Saturday, September 1st at 11:00PM. After the 13.5 hour flight you arrive in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 1st at 7:30PM (Sydney is 17 hours ahead of LA). So its earlier than when you left right? But not so fast........
Your 11PM Sydney takeoff means you took off at 4AM Los Angeles time. So you took off at 4AM and landed at 7:30PM LA time. So no, unfortunately you did not travel back in time.
As a pilot, I have seen the sun rise twice in one calendar day. It does very bad things to your biological clock and circadian rhythm. |

| Posted: | | | | Of course, it also depends on where in North America you are flying to. For instance, if you flew to my town, it would be like going back to 1995. We're alittle behind the times around here. | | | "I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate.
