| Posted: | | | | One thing I have found personally about Allmovie is that while it may be quite acceptable and accurate for American films it is complete shiitake mushroome when it comes to any film that is not American. IMDB is much more accurate and preferable when it comes to films produced outside the US. |

| Posted: | | | | I've used it for cross-reference purposes, e.g. to find out Country of Origin in cases where it's not that obvious, comparing Allmovie to IMDb and other sources. I have to agree that Allmovie certainly cannot be regarded as "the" authoritative source in most cases, so I certainly would not recommend using it as the only source for info that cannot be derived from the DVD itself. |

| Posted: | | | | The single most accurate database I've found so far is TCMDB.com. The Turner Classic Movies database. They use data from the American Film Institute. Its great for older American issued movies especially. | | | John
